For men running under a 60seconds would be good for a 12 year old. Towards the end of High school for an 18 year old a good time would be about 48seconds. And College should range from 44-47 for a good 400m.
i'm in 7th grade and 12 turning 13 and my fastest time was 1:48
i'd say about umm 13.5-14 well my little sister is 11 at the moment but she runs a 12.00
i would say a good 100m time for a 10 year old boy is around 16-17secs. I am an 11 year old girl and ran the 100m in 15.9 secs.
Judging that you are giving a 200m time, I would assume that you are a sprinter. This means that your second 200 will most likely be slower than your first so you should run around 50-51sec for your 400.
The stagger in the 400 meter dash are the different starting points around the first curve that each runner lines up on. Because the track is oval, having everyone start at the same line would be unfair to those running in the lanes outside of lane 1. Basically, the further out you would start, the further you would have to run. for example, By having the starting point for each lane start futher up ,or staggered, around the first turn ensures that all the runners are running the same distance.
Montell Douglas is the record holder with 11.05s. It was previously Kathy Cook (nee Smallwood) with 11.10s.
Depends what sort of experience and training you have had and for how long
If you've kept up your training you should be down in 10 or 11 sec's
But if your new to the sport 13 -14 would be ok
all the lanes on a 400m track are 400m. that's y no one starts at the same place because it's made so that everyone runs the same distance
I just came back from gym class with a time of 6 min 15 sec, second in 3 classes. Lots of people came in between 7min and 8 min.
25.5 to 24.5 if you get down here your pushing state records.
In 1985 Liversnap and Bobert Glensky had an all out ninja duel to the death! Bobert made the first move by cutting his hair and left Liversnap blinded by overexposure to pure awesomeness! But Taylor came out of nowhere and threw Liversnap in the trash! "DAMNIT!", Liversnap screamed. "If only I had my body! I'D KICK SOME BOOTIE!" We never could get Sasquatch to stop crying.
for an under 13 boy a county racing /winning time would be about 55 seconds for a girl about 57 , a realy good time would be under 60 seconds , a good time would be about 1.05 - 1.10 an average runner would get 1.10 -1.20 max any higher would not be placed in a official event for under 13 400m dash……….......Pacific School Games Records.......Boy : 52.08 seconds. Thomas Martin (2008) .....http://www.pacificschoolgames.edu.au/sports/documents/2008PSGT_FResults.pdf................ Girl : 57.2 seconds. Vanessa Fielding (1984) .........http://www.schoolsport.edu.au/lib/pdf/sportsinfo/mf1075.pdf
Yeah that's a decent time especially since at 13 you probably aren't able to sprint the whole time.
Yea that's state in my school, which is AA in Illinois. I ran a 27.3 on my state 4X200 team, sadly we got 32/35.
I am 15 and a week ago i hit 25.55 so i dunno if that helps
I am 14 and got 23.87 and I'm mainly a 100m runner
I am 14 and i got 21.24 and 10.2 in the 100m
i doubt u got 10.2 the record for 14 year old is like 10.7 so stop lying a good time for the 200 is around 24-25 sec and a good time for 100 is around 12-13 sec
I'm a 14 yr old girl i run 200m in 27-28 secs a 14 yr old boy at my schools runs 200m in 22-23secs and i run 11m in 14-15 secs and the boys runs 100m in about 12-13 secs so hope it helped but i know a lad in yr 7 who can run 100m in something like 13 secs so hope i helped
The normal time for a typical 12-15 year old running a 400 meter (1/4 mile) is about 70-75 sec. I personally have seen 65 sec. That is pretty good.
My average time is about 1:12 and fastest is 1:08 and I'm starter in the 4x400 relay and I get 1st or 2nd in usually all open 400m dashes so I think that's pretty good for a 14yo girl at the middle school level (eighth grade). I know that in high school the competition is harder...I'll be trying to get a :60 or 1:05 around there come next spring (:
that's great a 14 year old should be running it under 12.50 seconds but that's crzy good, i run it in 12.37 seconds
If You Are Trying To Break An World Record For 12 year Olds ...
It Should Be In 4.51 Seconds
-Marteas
if u mean high school freshman then that is insane
i no the 8th grade illnois is 41 feet 2 inches so i would imagine Texas is about 42 ft
1 minute 4 seconds...yoshua selvadurai
Nope. The NSW State record (Australia) for U9s is 1.03.9. That's by a 9yo. Two 10yos ran a 1.01 this year and two ran a 1.02 last year - and all were less than 10 and a half.
I'm 12 and can run the race in 2:50 -2:55. So I guess anything under 3:00 is good. 2:45 would be AMAZING, and anything else would be phenomenal! Don't listen to the 12 year olds claiming they can run 800m in 2:15 or stuff like that because those times are high school times and are nearly impossible for a 12 year old, well unless your fantastic, and few people are :) hope I helped!
It does varie. My best in junior high school was an 11.8, and i was running against people who were running 11.5 their eighth grade year. Low 12's is good, but if your running high elevens that's very good
