800 Meter Run

The 800 meter run is a half mile or, on a standard 400 meter track, two complete laps.

Albert Hill of Great Britain won the gold medal in the 800 meter run at the 1920 Olympic Games in Antwerp.

i would say a good 100m time for a 10 year old boy is around 16-17secs. I am an 11 year old girl and ran the 100m in 15.9 secs.

The American Record was set by Michael Granville from Bell Gardens, California- a time of 1:46.45 which he set as a senior in 1996. Although he holds the fastest high school 800 time ever, his career never extended past the collegiate level.

Depends what sort of experience and training you have had and for how long

If you've kept up your training you should be down in 10 or 11 sec's

But if your new to the sport 13 -14 would be ok

A good time to my calculations would be 9.60 nine- minutes-60-seconds

The rules for the 800 meter are the same for all races.

No hitting, cutting off, cursing, or show boating.

that's great a 14 year old should be running it under 12.50 seconds but that's crzy good, i run it in 12.37 seconds

i no the 8th grade illnois is 41 feet 2 inches so i would imagine Texas is about 42 ft

well, relative to the results that we had in our high school athletics meet, the fastest time recorded is 47.47seconds in 2009.

The world record for running 800 meters was set in 2010 by David Rudisha of Kenya in a time of 1:41.01.

I'm the fifth best eight grader at my school, and I ran a 2:26. Yet I started out over 3 minutes in 7th grade. I'd try to get down under 2:30-2:35 before your eighth grade season ends.

If you want to be ready for high school, I'd try to get under a 2:25. Once you're in high school, you will have more time to train and cut a lot off of that time. (I am in eighth grade and run a 2:16)

The current World Record is 43.18 seconds set by Michael Johnson of the United States in Seville, Spain on 26 August 1999. The fastest clockwise 440 yards was Scott Ruvolo 44.97 on a dirt track at Excelsior H.S Norwalk July 20.1984 but was later averaged up to 45.17 because of disbelief.

A good time i believe would probably have to be a 1:18:00 - 1:25:00... so a minute and 18 seconds to 1 minute and 25 seconds!! because there are so many 7th and 8th grade kids who run the 400m dash from 1:12:00 down to 55 seconds!!

Runners like to eat a heavy carb diet before they have a race to run, they do not eat dairy because it is really hard to digest. Right before a race lots of runners like to eat bananas so they will not get leg cramps.

I'd say about 20 minutes mAx

I could do that in 15 and im an 11 yr old girl

for a 16 year old boy, i would be aiming for 2:05 or under. i'm 14, & my fastest guy friends run the 800m at around 2:20, so i'd say 2:05 is reasonable since you are older. good luck!!:)

well i am 15 and i am from jamaica.....and the time that won the under 16 boys category was 1:56.32 and the person who came last was 2:02

Phlebotomy training can be obtained both a medical colleges and through online training. When looking for a school a good place to look for training would be the American Medical Society (AMS). The AMS can furnish you with information on qualification and schools that are accredited that offer the training.

Both of those times are really good. If you ran for AAU you would probably be going to the national junior Olympics. I ran when I was 12 and finished with a 2:37 at nationals and finished 47 in the nation, so your time is definitely good.

well iv been running track for a long time and the fastest sophomore that i have seen run the 400 meter dash is in 49.3 and my personal best a sophomore was a 52.6. Out of all of the people i have seen run it is either from 48.3 to 56.8 in a track meet.So if you run anywhere between the two you should be fine.
