Compare and contrast anarchy with democracy?
There is no difference. Anarchy means that there is no government. Any for of that word is still going to mean the same thing it just might be worded differently. Such as Anarchist. This is someone that is against the government. It pretty much means the same thing. Just worded differently.
AnswerThere is a difference:
* Anarchy ("without ruler") is a state of affairs: If there is no police, boss, government or other authority, just each man and woman for him/herself, you have anarchy.
* Anarchism is the ideology or political philosophy saying that government etc. is unnecessary (or even harmful) and that anarchy is better.
You can have one without the other. Anarchy without anarchism could for example be a temporary breakdown of normal law and order after a natural disaster or at the boundaries of a war zone.

What problems if any might arise from anarchy?
anarchy is bad because without government we would have pretty much nothing, no services to our country, state or our community. anyone could do anything and get away with it because we wouldn't have laws!!
More specifically, a state of Anarchy is defined as one without any government. Citizens may band together for various purposes, but there is no common government (and, thus, no law).
Given the rather self-centered and greedy natural character of human beings (particularly in large concentrations), any situation without some sort of overall control or law quickly degenerates into violence. Human beings have proven themselves to be unable to live together without some sort of master authority (with enforcement powers). No human society lives in anarchy - even the smallest and most primitive tribes have some sort of authority structure, which is government by another name.
As to why Anarchy is bad, ask yourself this: if you could do whatever you wanted to, with no consequences to you from a "higher" authority (e.g. you could hit someone, and while they might hit you back, no police officer would intervene, and no one would be charged with a crime), what would you do? Now, how would the world be if everyone could do whatever they wanted to anytime?
That's why anarchy is bad.
No, but this is a brain teaser. Anarchy is the "absence of government" or absence of laws. So the existence of anarchy would make anything legal, including itself. Most Western countries allow the expression of anarchist philosophy under the right to freedom of speech. However, most prohibit attempting to disrupt or obstruct the operations of their governments. Inciting others to physically oppose lawful actions of any government is also a crime.

yes,but to many people live off of the government.you have to break that bond
A state without control: An absence of leadership. Chaos.
In places that no one knows!
CORRECTION:
The above is the common stereotype. Being an anarchist myself, I can tell you that most of us are against chaos. We're actually anti-hierarchy, that is, we don't like being under a ruler or authority, however "elected by the people" they may be. A common thing said is that "authority puts up stoplights". Anarchists just believe that anyone should be able to put them up. The stereotype was made by punk rock bands, who said "no government=chaos=AWESOME". I hate those people.
What is the relationship between anarchy and its people?
When the Soviet Union supported the creation of a puppet Communist State in Afghanistan in 1978, Afghanistan rapidly devolved into a situation of civil discord, especially as the United States supported the Islamic Fundamentalist Mujahedin. When the Soviet Union decided to withdraw military support to the Communist government in Kabul, the Communist government collapsed. The Islamic Fundamentalist Mujahedin, however, did not have enough political know-how to cobble together a government, making Afghanistan effectively a failed state with numerous regional warlords. Another Islamic Fundamentalist group called the Taliban was able to unify much of Afghanistan under their rule and end the failed-state status. After a decade, the United States allied with the tribal warlords evicted by the Taliban, now styled as the Northern Alliance and restored a national government with attenuated local control as opposed to the Taliban-style authoritarian system. In the places where the Afghan government powers do not extend well, it is as if the people were living in anarchy.
