The Aztec Empire is long gone, it expired centuries ago, so it is not an empire of any kind, it is just a former empire. And when it existed it was not a military empire in the modern sense of the term; it was ruled by an emperor, not by a general. Of course, it did have military power and did enforce its rule by force. All empires share the characteristics of the military, to some extent.

Aztec boys went to school when they were fifteen years old. Sons of Nobles went to a calmecac and sons of commoners went to a telpochalli.

Obvious advantages immediately stand out. The invading Conquistadors consisted of well trained mobilized militias trained in military tactics and outfitted with gunpowder and steel. However, two other factors should be considered. These are literacy and disease. A large amount of Spanish success revolved around being a literary society; allowing them to deceive Aztec emperors. Also, to be considered is the rampant spread of European disease across North America introduced by the Spanish; most notably smallpox. Disease spread faster across the continent than the Spanish; decimating around 80 percent of the indigenous population.

Yes, and I know it was black but I don't know what texture. I've read that it was straight but my family says that I'm a quarter Aztec and the rest of me is Scandinavian and I have wavy hair so either there is some kind of drama/miscommunication in my family or the source I'm basing my answer off of was incorrect on that part. But I'm certain they had hair haha.

Not much, he just had the rumors that the other aboriginals told him. He knew that the Aztecs were a big and powerful empire and that their capital was magnificent, though he never expected that it would be a much bigger city than most European cities at the time.
