Depends on the medication you are on. Blood thinners and betablockers can affect the body's tolerance for alcohol and cigarettes I think, and the latter is a risk factor for AF. My dad's suffered from it for years and does still drink, although in smaller quantities than prior to his diagnosis. Cigarettes I'm not so sure about.

Picayune cigarettes were a regional brand sold in the South until sometime in the 1960's. While you can not buy them anymore, you can order the French cigarettes Gauloises online. The Picayune pack read "Picayune Extra Mild Cigarettes. Pride of New Orleans" They were anything but mild. They were by far the strongest cigarettes ever made as far as I know. They may be the only American cigarette brand ever made from caporal tobacco, the strong stuff that's used in the French cigarettes "Gauloises". However I also remember there was another New Orleans area cigarette called "Home Run" which I believe was just as strong and have heard went just as well with a "Jax" beer.

Why is it hard to stop smoking cigarretes?
It is quite possible to stop smoking. This writer, a former 3-pack-a-day smoker, stopped 16 years ago and has not smoked since.
However, nicotine is a highly-addictive substance that is difficult to "kick." The most effective method seems to be nicotine replacement therapy (patch or gum) and support from a smoking cessation group or therapy. The writer believes that patches do a better job of replacement because of a much lower potential for addiction, as opposed to gum.

Making your own cigarettes by hand is an art that takes trial and error. First you would pull off a piece of rolling paper. You would lay it with the gummed side up and make a crease near the end opposite the gummed adhesive. The you would lay the tobacco in the the crease. You would have to experiment with the amount and position. Then you would evenly roll as tightly as you can. Then you can lick the gummed surface and press that down.

I recently brought a carton (200, 10 pack of 20) of MG American blend in lanzarote for 3.50 euro.. that's 35 cents a box. Never herd of the brand and they taste horrendous but i had to buy them just because they were unbelivably cheap.
Whats more amazing is that here in the UK a box of 10 cigerettes costs the same as 200 of these things... God bless Gordon Brown pants..
