Anytime you are doing a stain, use the solutions on a test area you can't see.

First blot area with newspaper, towel etc, then put baking soda on it to absorb it, clean that up, then go over it with baking soda and water solution.

I don't know about how your carpet is but do a test area first, if the above works and still not happy with results, test area first! take 1 Teaspoon of Baking soda, 3 Tablespoons of vineger put this in a cup it will fizz up, pour on the stain, wait about 10 min, blot up, rinse.

There is a solution you can buy for this, for urine, feces etc. You can buy at feed stores or pet stores, walmart carries one also, you blot up the area, then spray it, blot again, and it does smell nice, this product does not smell like disenfectant.

Buy Affresh, it is sold at most supermarkets. 3 large tablets to a pack. I placed 2 tablets in the washing machine and ran thru the washing cycle using HOT water. If you have time you can let the machine agitate for about 5 minutes and stop the cycle letting the Affresh work by soaking for about an hour and than turn the machine back on. This will disolve the built up soap scum causing the smell. Repeat using the other Affresh tablet. If the soap scum is really bad let the Affresh work overnight and use the rinse cycle the next morning. Worked for me.

The hydrophilic side attaches to water molecules, and the hydrophobic side attaches to oil molecules. This action allows the oil droplets to break up into smaller droplets, surrounded by water. These smaller droplets are no longer stuck to the material to be cleaned, and are washed away. My dad does tile and i help him out every once and a while with it.. and one time something similar to this happened and we had to get a chisel and hammer and scrape the mark out of the grout.. of course there would be a little hole so we had to use some more of our left over grout to fill it in... hope this helped!
