What is the most interesting thing about the state Colorado?

Which city did you have in mind? You could be talking about Grand Junction, Denver and the metro area, Boulder, Colorado Springs....

Colorado Springs itself isn't all that interesting. This is the city which dedicated an exit on I25 to the hate group Focus On the Family, after all. It's also home of the Air Force Academy. If any of that is interesting to you. If you like to go up into the mountains, you can take Old Stage Road to the end and follow the dirt road up into the mountains... from what I'm told, that road used to go all the way to Cripple Creek, but the tunnels have since collapsed and have not been reopened. You can also go to Pikes Peak, but if you're from a lower elevation area of the country, I would not recommend going until you've gotten acclimated to the elevation of Colorado, unless the thought of passing out appeals to you.

Other areas of interest would include Old Colorado City and Manitou Springs, both reached via US24 West off of I25.

Denver is a bit more interesting. Museums, the aquarium, the music scene, dining.. there's a lot more to do there.

Boulder is where the State Fair is held. That's all I can think about that city which is worth mentioning.

Apen and Vail are tourist attractions during ski season... hope you're strapped with cash if you go there, because you pay out the nose for everything in those places.

Does elevation increase or decrease from Mississippi to Colorado?

Colorado is higher in elevation than Mississippi.

Colorado contains the central part of the Rocky Mountains, and Colorado's highest point is Mount Elbert, elevation 14,433 feet above sea level. One side of the Rockies drains water into rivers that reach the Pacific Ocean, and the other drains the water toward the Atlantic Ocean by rivers that reach the Mississippi River, including the State of Mississippi and the Gulf of Mexico.
