If you have a female guppy, and then you see that she has lost size and you have some small fish in with it that you didn't put in there, I can assure you that you would probably be correct if you assume that your Guppy has given birth.

You either separate them from potential predators or you provide them with heaps of adequate cover and hiding places.

It is likely because they are semi-aggressive fish. The guppy will also have to be able to fit in its mouth.

Guppies, like all fish, have gills and breath oxygen that is in the water. I have observed though guppies going to the top of a tank for surface air and surviving by doing this.

No, all guppies should be freshwater fish.

only one or two flakes depends on how many you have...but when you change guppies water be very careful because they go in shock a lot and die i used to have 4 guppies now i have 1 : ( your guppies can live long or short depends if you take good care of them : ) NEVER ever put them in a tank with big fish or there mom or dad cause they will eat there own babies cause there so small they look like food to them ...how often do you feed your guppies twice a day they are very tiny but need food to help them grow...they dont need such a big tank...also if you are on a vacation and leave your guppy at home it will die after 2 weeks...those are the basic guppie questions... : ) i hope they answered many or your questions : )

You're sure it's an oscar? Those things are opportunistic predators--basically, they'll eat anything that will fit in their mouths.

Seriously, though, some cichlids don't like to eat guppies for whatever reason. They don't NEED to eat live fish, and a lot of fish experts say not to feed live fish. So...if it won't eat guppies but it will eat chopped beef heart, earthworms, cichlid pellets or whatever else you're feeding him, I would just not put any more guppies in there.

Fish are not humans and do not get "depressed" as humans do. The problem you have is most likely the fact that your water is in bad condition because you are not following the basic rules of fishkeeping. Ammonia in the water is probably what killed the female guppy and the male is most likely very sick and if something is not done soon will join her in death too. My advice is first do a water change then learn and follow the rules. The rules are. :- 1 inch of fish needs a minimum of 1 gallon of water. :- Every tank needs a permanently running cycled filter. :- Every tank needs at least 50% of its water changed every week. Keep the above rules and your fish stand a chance. Fail in any of them and I can guarantee that you will have constant health problems with your fish.

Other fish with guppies it absolutely fine but some fish can get jealous. Well guppies like to show off their tail and sort of brag about it. So the other fish depending how aggressive it is, it may nibble of part of it's tail. And usually it won't grow back the same. Lot's of people wonder if goldfish will eat their guppies. Gold fish could eat guppies if they grow enough. Like if you get a fancy gold fish and it grows big then possibly. The size that goldfish grow depends on how much room they have. Like if a goldfish lived in a 50 gallon tank then it would most likely grow much larger. But if it was in a little bowl it probably won't grow as much. So most likely it won't but anything can happen. So pretty much it depends on what size tank you have. Well anyway you could usually have guppies with other fish. Just so you know Goldfish can't live with guppies because of their different water temperature requirements. Guppies can only live with other Tropical Freshwater Fish.

You could either sell some of your guppies so as they won't breed, sell the guppy babies you have online or at yur local pet store or keep one of your guppies in one of the seperator tanks you get for your main tank.
