The Giant Hummingbird, Patagona gigas, is the largest member of the hummingbird family. It typically weighs ~18-20 g (~0.735 - 0.705 oz), and measures ~21.5 cm in length (~8.5 in). This is about the length of a European Starling, or a Gray Catbird. It is the only member of its genus.
Its habitat is the high Andes mountains: from 2,000 - 3,800 meters (6,500-11,000 ft), in northern Ecuador to central Chile and Argentina.

You should call poison control, but off hand my opinion is that not much harm could come to the child, unless a large amount was consumed, or if the child is diabetic. Humming birds require a lot of energy to keep up their jaunty metabolisms, and so the nectar will be very high in sugars.
