THe average length of intestine like the average height of people is variable. In women the average intestine length is considered to be 7.1 meters, in men it is considered 6.9. A survery performed in Australia in 1995 where subjects were measured found the average height of men to be 1.78 meters and of women to be 1.64 meters. If we use these parameters we can give the ratio to be 1.78:6.9 and 1.64::7.1 in men and women respectively. If we were to crudely average the two ratios and round up decimal points it would not be unreasonable to suggest that the ratio of body length the small intestine length in humans in meters is approximately 2:7 or 1.5:6
