Why did Allah send prophets to mankind?
There are many reasons to answer the above question. Among these reasons there are geographic and linguistic reasons. If we think of geography , we will find that in the 17th century CE, Arabia found itself far beyond the immediate sphere of influence of the two dominant regional powers, the Byzantine and Persian Empires. In other words ,these two powers would not let Islam to appear in their domain and Islam would represent a real threat to these two empires. The only possible place for Islam to grow at that time was the remote Hijaz area. Arabia at that time was the geostrategic center of the entire world. It is almost equidistant to Morocco and England , India and china. This fact would prove enormously auspicious for the expansion of Islam. Concerning the reasons and explanations of revealing the Holy Qur'an in Arabic m wee find that Arabic language is capable of conveying anything that words can convey and mean. No other language in the world has such a characteristic. Moreover, Arabic verb can be put into eight different modalities. Yet there is another point which shows that Arabic language can make temporally indeterminate statements. Another significant aspect was the propitious timing of the Quranic revelation. Before Muhammad entered the world remodeled the divine revelation they once had received without any prospect for reform. So Muhammad came as the last one of all prophets because all issue was no more , and no less than the restoration of Abraham's monotheism the natural religion in harmony with human nature. In fact , Islam represent the first significant attempt to reform Christianity. For instance, the Holy Qur'an explains to us that Jesus was created ,like Adam and not begotten. How are the teachings of Muhammad preserved?
According to Islamic Theology, the Qur'an was transmitted by the Archangel Gabriel from God to Muhammad. Muhammad's recitation was memorized by faithful Muslims and protected by God, to make sure that the Qur'an never change. As concerns, Muhammad's actual teachings, those are the Hadiths (Events) and the Sirat an-Nabi (Biography of the Prophet). The Hadiths have numerous origins and while some are legitimate, many track back to local cultural traditions, other religions' holy texts or prayers, and personal beliefs of local leaders. Islamic scholars sorted out the Hadiths and determined their accuracy by using isnads (chains of retellers) that would track back to one of Muhammad's Sahaba (Apostles). Those that passed the test were preserved in Hadith Collections. On Hadiths, scholars like Goldziher have demonstrated that the isnad method of determining the accuracy of the Hadiths was misplaced and a number of Hadiths changed their isnads over time, meaning the tradition preserved in the Hadith Collections is not likely to be an accurate demonstration of what Muhammad did. It is generally agreed that the Sirat an-Nabi was composed from latent legends in the 9th century, but Secular Historians reject that these are in any way accurate about Muhammad, even assuming he did live. (The details of any historical event mutate within a few decades after the event, especially in a primarily illiterate culture, which the Arab Muslims were.)

Islam is God religion since start of universe and mankind creation and may be even before. Islam means submission to Allah (or God in English) with no partner and hence fulfilling peace both self peace and world peace. All God prophets called their people to Islam starting by Adam and ending with Muhammad (peace be upon them all). Islam per Quran that was revealed to prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) from God by the angel Gabriel about 600 years after Jesus' birth. The revelation started by 610 AD and continued until 632 AD, the year of prophet Muhammad's death.
