Can a Holland Lop eat Yogies?

Although you can buy Yogies for Rabbits, they aren't healthy for them to eat at all. Rabbits are herbivores and vegan: they shouldn't eat any dairy, including yoghurt, because they can't digest it properly. Yogies also contain preservatives and artificial colourings and other things that aren't good for rabbits. A much healthier and less expensive treat for rabbits is fresh fruits or vegetables: they also really love these foods, so it's a great treat for the rabbit! For example, a grape, blueberry, or bite of banana is beloved by rabbits. Either way, rabbits should not have too many treats, or else they'll get sick. Can a male angora rabbit mate with a female netherland dwarf rabbit the male angora isn't a pure angora he's more like a angora short breed he's only 1.5 times the size of the doe Will the Kits be ok?

You should not breed cross breed rabbits unless you have known homes for them. Cross breed rabbits are very hard to get rid of and usually wind up being eaten. A netherland dwarf doe is too small to breed to an angora buck. You are putting your doe in danger during the kindleing process. The babies heads MAY be too big for the doe to give birth to them and she may die trying. If your mix was the other way around - Angora doe, netherland buck- you would be OK. Why not find someone with a nice Netherland buck who will let you breed it to your doe for pick of the litter?? Don't risk your bunny just because you want babies.

How do you make a Holland Lop rabbit happy?

Holland Lops are basically the same as all pet rabbits. There are some basic things you can do to make your bunny happy, and these apply to all breeds of pet rabbit. Then, rabbits are individuals, so you have to learn what your rabbit likes and dislikes on a personal level - but, again, this is about your individual rabbit, not his or her breed.

How to Make a Rabbit Happy (including Holland Lops)Illness and injury will make any animal unhappy, including rabbits. Make sure your bunny is healthy, or gets the help she needs when she isn't healthy, by doing three things:
  1. Observe your bunny on a daily basis, so that you notice any early signs of illness (see related question below about how to tell if a rabbit is sick).
  2. Give your bunny thorough at-home physical exams and grooming (see link below about "monthly maintenance").
  3. Bring your bunny to the vet for regular exams about once a year (or more if the vet recommends it for some reason), and any time you think the bunny isn't well.

Feed your bunny a healthy, balanced diet so that she has enough energy to play and exercise. Too many pellets and treats will lead to obesity, or even deadly illness (GI stasis), so make sure you limit these foods, even though your bunny likes them. A small treat (like a bite of carrot or apple, or a blueberry) will make your bunny very happy!

Practice rotation feeding when it comes to your bunny's daily salad. It is very boring to eat the same foods every day, so giving your bunny a wide variety of leafy greens definitely will make her happy. New greens do need to be introduced carefully, though, or else you can make the rabbit sick. When introducing greens, stick to one new green at a time, and start with just one or two bites one day, then a few more bites the next day, and slowly work up to bigger portions. Watch for signs of illness, too!

One of the best ways to make your bunny happy is to let him express his natural behaviours. Even though they're pets, bunnies like doing all the things they would do if they were wild. Give your bunny room to run around and jump every day. Give your bunny toys to dig in and tear apart (like a cardboard box, or a grass mat, or an old Yellow Pages directory, or a pile of blankets - but make sure she doesn't eat any, because this can lead to deadly illness!). Some bunnies also like to throw toys (like hard plastic baby "keys," or a cardboard tube from inside a toilet paper roll), or to roll and nudge them (like small balls), or climb on top of them (like low chairs, boxes) - figure out what your bunny likes to do and give her the right kind of toys to do it!

Another natural behaviour of rabbits is grazing and foraging. The best way to let your pet bunny graze is by providing hay at all times. Generally speaking, adult rabbits should eat grass hays (like timothy), whereas alfalfa hay is only good for juveniles (younger than 7 months). Hay is the best way to avoid mental illness (like extreme boredom, anxiety, etc), as well as digestive illness and dental illness!

Design your rabbit's habitat so as to limit anxiety. If your rabbit is afraid of loud noises, don't put his cage somewhere it's really noisy. On the other hand, don't tuck him away out of sight, otherwise he'll get lonely. Give him a "bolt box": something to hide in if he gets nervous.

Why is the royal Netherlands navy called royal?

Because The Netherlands is an independent monarchy - in other words it has a king or queen as it's head rather than a President. At the moment it has a queen. Go here for loads more:

The armed forces "belong" to the monacrch, even though in reality he or she has no control over them.
