Oxycodone, is the generic name for a narcotic pain medication in an immediate release form. Some of the brand names of oxycodone are Roxicodone and OxyIR. (for Imediate Release). Some of the doses available are 5, 15 and 30 mg pills. There are forms of oxycodone that are released slowly over an extended period of time, eg, 12 hours. Some names of these preparations are OxyContin, probably the most well known one and comes in tablets of 10, 15, 20, 30, 40, 60 or 80 mg. There are other time released products and liquid preparations of Oxycodone as well. These time released doses are designed for use in patieents that are already tolerant to the dose prescribed and are being changed over to a preparation that will cause a more steady blood level. If chewed these pills can release a very large dose of drug at a time, which makes them popular as a drug of abuse and also very dangerous in that it has caused many fatalities when used this way.

Other drugs containing Oxycodone AND Acetaminophen or Aspirin (e.g. Percocet or Percodan) usually contains 5 or 7.5 mg of Oxycodone. However they also contain anywhere from 300 to 700 mg of Acetaminophen or Aspirin in doses that can seriously upset your stomach, lead to heart or kidney problems, and cause permanent liver damage. So if you're using it recreationally, make sure your pills don't contain Acetaminophen or Ibuprofen. And if they do, I'd say do not ingest more than 1500 mg of either within a 4 hour period. But I'm not a doctor, its just that when I take say 2000 mg of Acetaminophen that's when I puke, and I'm pretty sure that when you put something in your body and it makes you puke that somethings probably wrong.

If you "lose" a prescription of any narcotic pain medication, the doctor will not call for a refill. Your doctor's office would even provide you with the same information, that they, nor the doctor, is authorized to refill a narcotic prescription in the event that the prescription was lost or stolen, even if you have a police report, they will NOT refill that prescription until it is due again to be refilled.

The highest dosage Oxycontin comes in is 160 mg which good luck finding one of those. If you have a pill that says 650mg that is referring to the Tylenol in it which means you have percocet not Oxycontin. It might say 10/650: 10 being mg of oxycodone and 650 mg of acetaminophen.

That urine will not be used for testing. Urine has to be stored in a fridge and only for a few hours or they can not use it. They will be able to tell it's old.

There is nothing "natural" on the market today, that will replace or equal the synthetic analgesic &/or euphoric affects of Oxycodone. The only substitute for living a healthy, purposeful life is to simply quit!

When it comes to withdrawal, it is highly advisable to check into a detox program since withdrawal symptoms can be extremely uncomfortable and sometimes dangerous if your trying to go cold turkey vs. tapering off.

Withdrawal usually takes 2-4 weeks before any positive benefit from abstinence can be felt, depending on how much you were taking on a daily basis and for how long.

First of all, this is a horrible answer. I will start by saying that anytime you mix opiates and benzodiazepines you are taking a very big risk. Mixing benzo's and alcohol is also very risky. Both of the above combonations have been responsible for many drug related deaths, many more than by taking any of those substances along. Now mixing all three can lead to a very quick death or hospitalization. Don't do it! Many an "experianced" drug using has meet their end with these sorts of combos. And definitely hide your keys or have someone else hold all of them because total amnesia if very common when mixing any of these drugs! Be careful!

If you're having difficulty determining the "best" brand of a prescription strength narcotic pain-killer you need to talk to your doctor. Given the strength of such medications, you need to be careful with dependency and tolerance. Any brand of narcotic pain killer is effective in eliminating pain.
