If the treatment the doctor prescribed is not helping you should get back in to see him asap. at the very least he can tell you what you can do for some relief, they will usually do this without charging you a new office visit, and I have even had a lot of luck just calling the office and asking to speak with the doctor.

See an ob-gyn. This is my question. I went to the doctor today and they thought that I had a kidney infection. I had all of the symptoms of a kidney infection but near my ovaries I was feeling a dull pain. Well, my test for the kidney infection was negative. My kidneys were fine. So they did a pelvic test, kind of like a pap smear. The test came out to be bacterial vaginosis. Basically it is where the normal balance of bacteria in the vagina is interupted and replaced by an overgrowth of a certain bacteria. You see we naturally have good and bad bacteria in us. Bacterial vaginosis is not an STD. It is the most common vaginal infection in women of childbearing age. Douching, having an IUD or a new sex partner or multiple sex partners can cause you to get BV. Mine was from douching. I am on a medicine and should be better in 5 days. Also many women may think that they have a yeast infection but it might be an BV infection. I had what I thought was a yeast infection 2 weeks ago and it was actually a BV infection. I started to have those dull pains again right near my ovaries. So I went to the doctor again. It turned out that I have IBS. I told my doctor that I thought that IBS was just fake and was a way for medical companies to make money. Turns out that I was wrong and that IBS is real. There is no cure for it. I have been taking 3 tbs. of Benefiber a day with water. It does not taste like anything at all. I have been on this for 3 weeks now and no pain! I also had a blockage which is probably where the pain came from. I hope that this info helps out anyone.
Why does growth of buttock pain?
The most likely reason for any pain that extends from the buttocks down to the foot is sciatica, or sciatic neuritis, especially if the pain is specifically located toward the back of the leg.
The sciatic nerve begins in the low back, passes through the buttocks and travels all the way down to the great toe. Any irritation or pressure anywhere along the course of the nerve will give rise to pain. I suspect that you have some compression or irritation at or near the lower lumbar spine or sacroiliac joints of the pelvis.
