How do the rodents get th bubonic plague?
It started with a bacteria. This bacteria got into parasites, which got into rats and other small mammals. The reason rats were the main cause for the plague is because back then, people were used to having rats in their houses. and it was difficult to rid of them.
Bacteria > Parasite > Animal > Human.
It is common misconception that rats caused the plague, which they did not, many other animals carried the flea, but weren't around any humans to spread it. It is also a misconception that rats did not die from the plague, which they did.
The skunk is not a rodent. They belong to the family Mephitidae and the order Carnivora which does not include rodentia. They are sometimes placed in the family Mustelidae (weasels) but have been discovered to be less related than was thought. They are sometimes called 'polecats' in deference to the fact that they look like a European polecat (Mustela putorius), which actually is a member of the Mustelidae family.

Yes. To know if it has heat stroke it won't eat or drink anything and won't move. It's poo will be wet. If it does have heat stroke you have to get it to drink someone water and milk if it doesn't take it then you have to do it yourself. Use a needle syringe to put it down it's throat. Bathe your guinea pig in cold water. Then once it starts getting better take it to a vet to check up on it.

Can you put two different guinea pigs from a different litter?
Well, yes, because that is what they do when they breed gerbils. You have to be cautious though, use the best proven method rather than just plopping two in a cage. This proven method is called the split cage method. Make a screen out of chickenwire and a wooden frame, in the tank or cage put it in the middle like a barrier. Have a gerbil on one side and the new one on the other side with all their neccessities. Trade handfuls of bedding every day for a week, they will be able to watch each other, smell each other, but not fight with each other through the fence. Beyond the seventh day you can remove the barrier but watch them closely and be cautious to make sure they do not fight. If those signs do show that they are about to fight then please separate them.
What is the differences between a male and female woodchuck?
There is absolutely no way to tell the difference. When the frogs reach sexual maturity, the males will call for a mate and the females do not. That's about the only reliable way to tell with most species. A distress call is not a mating call, so holding the frog tightly is not an accurate way to determine the frog's sex. You just have to wait.
(The difference is, one's a boy & one's a girl-(sorry, couldn't resist this answer:)
Why are hawks very important to us?
Hawks are very important to us for several reasons. Hawks are carnivorous birds, so they're strong enough to catch their preys. Firstly, this is a long explanation about the pest control. Snakes and rodents are nasty pests because snakes can bite people, which some species can be venomous enough for some people to die. Rodents are also very bad because they can gnaw at people, invade our house and wreck stuffs, destroy farm crops which triggers some famine to people, and some rodents can carry some nasty diseases, which can trigger a plague like the European Black Death in the mid-13th century. However, the hawk these nasty animals, including the snakes and rodents, so that it can save people to reduce the risk of snakebites and rodent plagues. Hawks are part of the snakebite and rodent control because they usually prey on these small nasty animals. Secondly, this partially connects to the first reason point. Hawks are part of the food chain, just like other animals, and hawk is typically an apex predator. If the hawks went extinct, there would be a chaos to the food chain. The hawk usually eat snakes, rodents, small mammals, etc. for their food diet. The hawk eat these things everyday in order to control their prey population. If the hawks went extinct, their prey would overpopulate because there'll be nothing to hunt them down. The snake and rodent overpopulation is especially more terrible because it'll increase the vulnerable frequency of more snakebites and rodent plagues, in which people would be in a huge danger.
That's why we shouldn't hunt hawks into extinction, otherwise we'll all terribly affect ourselves at the end.
