Guinea pigs are fertile most of their life, but as they get older the percentage that the sow is likely to die giving birth gets higher. I don't think it is a good idea to breed, because without an experineced person to watch over them it can be particularly dangerous to the sow and her unborn babies. If you must breed, the best time to get her pregnant is when she is about 3-5 months old. Any older than about 6 months and there can be complications. There is something about the sows hips, that if any older than that, the time to give birth will be harder for her as her hips won't be as flexible. Again, I will say, breeding is not a good idea with guinea pigs as they are small creatures and the risks of neither one making it are high.

The above answer is totally incorrect-It is IMPOSSIBLE to catch parvo from another species! Cats cannot get parvo. They can catch what is called Feline Distemper which is like parvo, but it only happens in cats, they cannot catch it from anything else besides cats, and it is not actually parvo. Same thing with Rodents- rodents can catch something that is "like" parvo but it is not the actual parvo virus.To sum this up only canines can get parvo.

I don't know about STRAIGHT from the field but mine eat timothy hay ALL the time. They like regular hay. I do not think that it is poisonus to them. So yes. They can eat dried and baled hay.

I think it takes a day or two for the birds to gather and place together their nest and if they don't like a piece the move it somewhere else, this is very uncommon but sometimes they have to restart and hunt for new twigs, leaves, grass, and anything else that is easier to carry, it also depends on the size of the big, if its eggs are larger or smaller

You should provide a good hay at all times, a bowl full of dry feed a day and fresh veggies at least a couple of times a week, preferably every day.

My guinea pig has very recently gotten bumble foot too . I went on line and checked it out . I found out that for an easy homoeopathic remedy i suggest bathing her foot in esperian salts 3 times a day for about 10 to 20 minutes . I wish you the best of luck on curing it . If it get worst don't hesitate to take him/her to the vet.

They are first kept in small wire cages which they should not be kept in (I own 2 chinchillas) they are then grabbed by there tails and there necks are broken but they are still alive screaming and squirming around in pain they are thrown on the ground by people who just don't care about them. There are videos on youtube that you can watch. Im sure there are other ways of doing it but I saw this done its very sad especially for the people who own them and know how affectionate they are they are very loving pets.

Please take your guinea pig to the vet because it could have a cold in the eye or a trauma to the eye. Don't try to fix the problem yourself! Good luck Marcy Try putting a warm tea bag on her eye... my guinea pig had this problem and it cleared up in a week. White is normal, that is just how the eye cleans itself. If it worsens or turns a different color go to the vet to get antibotics.
