Surfing

Well, there is 6 billion people in the world. And in some third world countries many people have surf boards but not cars. So i would guess around 30 million people world wide it is a rough estimate so dont take it if you need it for a report =p.

Surfing is popular in lots of places.

Surfers usually surf coast wise meaning round the edge of Queensland and the gold coast. They say also that surfing is very popular in Hawaii and surfers paradise.

if effects surfing because the wind can either be an onshore or offshore wind this effects the type of waves formed. the wind either blows out the waves and disrupts them making it almost impossible to surf very well or it forms the waves perfectly making great swell.

When snowboarding you are in control (hopefully), you make the decisions as to the incline and obstacles on that incline, ect. To make it less slippery. You want to stick to the board when you stand or lie on it. You wax the top of the surfboard with a bar of wax sold at any surf shop. Different waxes are made for different water temperatures so make sure you get the one for your water temperature. A good brand is Mr. Zog's Sex Wax. Get a base coat by making X's on the board starting with one large one to map out how high/low/wide you want the wax to be on the surface. It should be wherever your feet might land and high enough up so your chest lays on it so the board doesn't slide out from under you when you paddle out. After the big X, make lots of smaller X's until the board is covered and then make small circles starting at the top going left to right all the way to the bottom of your X. When you place your hand on the board and slide it up/down, it should grip. Hope this helps. Have fun!

Yes, you can wear a jockstrap with your boardshorts. You can wear jocks under any clothing. For swimming purposes you can purchase "swim" style jockstraps which have a thinner waist band making it easier.

I think the swimmer style jocks are more comfortable, and they can be a good call to wear under your board shorts.

Try the new Bike jocks. The waistband is bigger than a swim style jock but smaller than a old style jock. I surf wit it and its good.

You can were a jock under anything, including board shorts or you can "free ball" if you want. I would wear a swimmer style jockstrap, the waistband is narrower. Just my preference.

Check out helo shorts to wear under boardshorts. I get good support, and they're mad comfortable. Plus they dry out super fast which is clutch.

you can jump up on any type of wave, it all depends on your experience and the type of board you have

Almost is a very good brand that i would recommend. they have good pop and a nice concave.

The best would be almost with the fiber discs in them but personally i don't go for the deck technology i go for baker it is a very good brand and reliable.

Yes, but it is no longer the preferable material. Although Styrofoam is unsightly, sounds terrible, and seems cheep, it's a very good material because it is extremely light and buoyant.

It depends on the break. But it's good when the wind is blowing the opposite direction the waves are coming in. And there's a swell. If you're a beginner, go when the wave is 1-2 feet and the water isn't too choppy.
