What are the pros and cons of a proprietary system?
The advantage of a proprietary system is that it is proprietary: you are in control of it. You are free to design the system to meet your exact requirements, no more no less, and to encapsulate your intellectual property in a safe manner. The disadvantage of a proprieatory system is that it is proprietary. You are in charge of it, unable to benefit from a thrid party's work, and often unable to connect and exchange with other systems.
What is the impact of digital technology?
Hello. Well, I will tell you some pros and cons.
Pros:
- Much easier (You don't have to go to a library and browse through alot of books)
- An easy source of fun/ Great time waster (Bored? Play a computer game)
- Help us with everyday life (ATMs, Cars, Airplanes, ect.)
- Connect with people far away (Facebook, texting, ect.
Cons:
- Some people devote all their time to digital technology such as games
- May break down, causing bad if relied on too much
- Decrease in academic achievement (Don't choose games over schoolwork)
If you don't use digital technology at all you should. Be careful though, you should only devote time to online time-wasters when you have free time, not all information is correct on the internet, and it can be pretty addictive.
Hope this helped. (My opinion)
What is person vs technology mean?
In a piece of writing, it is a person versus machine type of conflict. For example, in the novel Fahrenheit 451, the main character is tracked by a robotic hound that can pounce on you and inject you with an instantly fatal dose of morphine. This would be a perfect example of a man vs. technology conflict, because he most overcome the astoundingly advanced technology trying to kill him. The whole novel is partially centered around man vs. technology conflict. I would highly suggest reading it. :)
How does a firewall effectively control traffic?
A firewall intercepts and controls traffic between networks with differing levels of trust. It is part of the network perimeter defense of an organization and should enforce a network security policy.
Is dynamo the same as DC generator?
As long as the direction in which the dynamo is turned remains the same then yes, it is essentially the same as a D/C generator, albeit a small, weak one. If the rotational direction of the dynamo keeps changing it becomes an A/C generator (the current flows one way, then the other). This would require some form of charging capacity such as a battery or capacator in order to have any usefull purpose. Generally speaking, A/C generators & inverters either 1)are powered by fuel engines, or 2)require much more input than a dynamo could feasibly provide in order to carry out their particular function. A typical example of an A/C generator is a Welding machine. (You could not run a welder off a dynamo!)

Your picture on your tv is upside down?
One serious possibility - someone has reversed the vertical deflection coil connections on a CRT-based TV. If it's a high-end digital/LCD/Plasma, it may be capable of (deliberately) inverting the picture, and this has happened inadvertently.
Not so serious?
1. It's an export model for the opposite side of the equator,
2. Someone's flipped it upside down and you've not noticed,
3. Yoga is a fine thing, but watching the TV while doing sirsasana can lead to confusion about which way is up.

Why does technology make people antisocial?
Not technology, but the way that technology is being marketed. Television has had a dramatic impact on the amount of time that people spend together outside of work, and the demise of many clubs can probably be laid at the feet of the network executives who put keeping their audiance glued to set every night above everything else. The internet and computers are actually bringing more social interaction to people's lives, with chat rooms, message boards, and online gaming. It can be hard to realize that most people never traveled more than 5 miles from their place of birth until just the last 100 years or so. 5 miles is the distance that the average person can walk and still return in one day. And many people lived in small villages, or an isolated farms, so they did not have very active social lives. Probably America in the 1950's and 60's was the epitomy of social interaction, and that was made possible by the technology of the automobile.
