Gamma rays are not used for the same reason as well as gamma ray production is not high enough, difficult to focus and high intense enough to create particl and antiparticle.

X-rays are a form of ionizing radiation, similar to the gamma rays from nuclear radiation. These forms of radiation are highly-penetrating, and they damage or kill cells deep within the body. People who work with these types of radiation on a regular basis want to avoid damage to their bodies, and so they take protective measures to minimize their exposure.

It would be extremely difficult to conceal jewelery in an x-ray particularly if the jewelery is metal. Even pearls and diamonds show up on x-rays. Cheap, thin plastic beads might not be visible on some x-rays.

I've had it with and without. When they check my bite, the put a small piece of plastic in you back teeth. When the check my braces, they just have a machine that swerves around my head. I think it just depends on your dentist.

Well the more energy a ray has the faster it goes so i think people are mistaking light the fastest when it is x rays.

More energy does not neccessarily make a ray go faster, otherwise you would see the bright part of a picture before you would see the darker parts.
