A Series of Unfortunate Events

The truth is that the story is based on what happened to kids long ago. The characters are not real due to privacy rights but it truly happened. I know this because on a website I found it says this is a good true story.

I'm not saying that it is NOT true and your answer is definitely reasonable, but when you say "what happened to kids long ago," do you mean EVERYTHING? Because, being very articulate and sort of OCD and all, wouldn't the government interfere or something? And the way the people acted, they had absolutely no idea what was going on! At least someone could act somewhat suspicious to all this. But, contradicting myself, I sort of want it to be true, but highly exaggerated because I feel really bad for the kids.

it might be true but only tiny parts of it could be true because some things in that book could never ever happen

Yes there are hidden messages in a Series of Unfortuante Events. if you really got into the book you'd be able to tell what the hidden messages are. It's hard to really tell though because Lemony Snicket gives good descriptions of everything so you'd have to really dig deep to find them.

Oh, dude, Count Olaf started the Baudelaire fire by using a highly flammable substance like a total villain. He wanted to get his greedy hands on the Baudelaire fortune, like, obviously. So, he cooked up this brilliant plan to burn down the mansion and make it look like an accident. Classic evil genius move, right?

It takes place in more than one place actually. It takes place at, Briny Beach, The Poe Household, Count Olaf's house, Justice Strauss's house, the market (where the Baudelaires go for ingredients for Puttanesca sauce), and the theater where the play, The Marvelous Marriage is preformed.

Lots of stuff happened in The End. Let's see... Kit Snicket died, Count Olaf died, it was revealed that Beatrice was the Baudelaire orphan's mom, VFD stands for Volunter Fire Department, Kit had a baby (the father was Dewey Denoument) and when she died the Baudelaires became the guardians of it, the baby was a girl and they named her Beatrice, the Incredably Deadly Viper reappeared and then had to leave again, the sugar bowl remains a mystery, the triplets never show up (some people think they're dead, based on Kit's description)...I can't think of anything else.

And in the very end of the book, the Baudelaires (after living alone on the island for a year) decide to head back to the mainland with Little Beatrice. Their ship wrecks on the way back (the shipwreck poster in The Beatrice Letters is of that shipwreck) and Little Beatrice and the Baudelaires are separated. I'm pretty sure that Little Beatrice hired Lemony Snicket to find the Baudelaires, Snicket tried to track them down by gathering information from all the places they'd been since their parent's deaths and he based A Series of Unfortunate Events on the observations he made (that explains why so much time has passed between when the Baudelaires were at a certain place, and when Snicket came there to investigate).

Count Olaf didn't kill Kit. Kit died because she was poisoned and didn't want to take the apple to heal it because it would hurt her baby, so therefore she died shortly after giving birth to her baby.

If you mean the movie, (Which I assume since there are already 13 books) then maybe. The producers have spoken with Handler (Author) about making another in the style of stop motion since the actors are too old. But producers say that the movie IS coming, just delayed. Auditions are in 2012. It will come out in 2013.

She read in Nupital Law that for the marriage to be fulfilled, the bride had to sign the document in her own hand. In the beginning of the book, the narrator told us that Violet Baudelaire is indeed, right-handed. ;)

Count Olaf cast Violet in a play in which he would marry her, but because he also cast a real judge it made the marriage legal. Violet had to go through with this because Olaf had locked Sunny in a cage and was ready to drop her to her death if Violet did not marry her.

However, the children found out that if the bride did not sign the marriage deed with her usual hand (Violet is left-handed) then it would be invalid. So Violet signed the deed with her right hand, Sunn was released and after ensuring that Sunny was okay she proved that Olaf was not her husband.

Olaf and his troupe then disappeared.
