Airsoft is the name for a class of airguns that are designed to shoot plastic balls called BBs. They are generally less powerful than BB guns and pellet guns.

The game played with those guns is also called airsoft. It consists of shooting each other with airsoft guns. There are many airsoft game variants with some being quite a bit like paintball and others being more like tactical exercises and battle simulations.

Playing airsoft requires protective equipment. No, its not a good idea to reuse, them because reused ones can have particles of dust and dirt that will inherently get picked up when fired. Its also a bad idea to use low quality BB's cause they tend to have a seam around them from molding, and both them and the re-used BB's can jam the gun.

if you need to find some really inexpensive BB's that are really high quality, no seams, and come in high quantities, i get all of the ones that i use from www.airsplat.com. I really love them, they are really precise.

These are very easy goggles to assemble. On the sides of the goggles should be little tabs on the side in which you slide the lenses in. From here push the tabs in into the sides and tighten the straps.

from what i hear it's only worth maybe 100 dollars but it's definetly a good gun for fun and scopable for squirrel hunting, it's a keeper.

I do believe, unless I am wrong, the only sizes there are for 6mm Airsoft bullets, are the .12g .20g .25g .28g .33g and .38g, Though I think your talking about the AK47 model sniper that supposedly shoots about 470fps with 1.2. I believe that was a typo, and that it should have been .12g which would be about correct with the consistency of the AEG's price, range, and brand.

I did research on the 2.2 bb and only found a .22 metal bb, so that "might" be what it is referencing to is the metal bb's.

There has only been 1 recorded death during an airsoft game and it wasn't even Airsoft related. An elderly man had a heart attack while playing.

If you mean simulated deaths, then yes. If you are hit by a BB you are out and you must yell "HIT!" and raise your hand or put on a "dead rag".

People have died from BB guns however. BB guns fire metal projectiles at high velocities. Airsoft guns are far more fun and safe.

Spin up or Hop up is when a bb is shot from an airsoft gun, there is a friction placed on the upper side of the bb while exiting the barrel. This friction causes the bb to "spin upward" or a backwards / under spin. This mechanism is called the Hop-Up. The Hop-Up configuration determines the range of bbs or extend the effective range of an airsoft rifle. Most spring airsoft guns come equipped with "built-in" Hop Up which is not adjustable nor calibrated. However, higher end models, such as gas airsoft pistols and electric airsoft rifles can be adjusted or calibrated both to the type of BB being used and the flight path desired. The below diagram illustrates the effects of hopup and how to callibrate your airsoft gun correctly. Towards the bottom of diagram it coveres the bernoulli's principle and it's effect on the path of a BB with hopup.

If you get hit in the bare skin maybe. I play airsoft with guys who have airsoft guns the shoot anywhere from 300-500fps. It really just depends on where the bb hits you. It usually does not hurt.

it is like a hop up system but you can change the bb's left and right trajectory ans well as the up and down trajectory. It also has two contact points shaped like a V so that the shots will not go crazy, each shot will be the exact same as the last (unless you adjust the hop up)

Only ones that would be legally considered air rifles. Specifically being manually loaded rifle style airsoft guns. And MAYBE some pistol kinds.

Outside of that, they are banned across the country. And to get the types mentioned above you need a firearms license.

It also depends on how far away you are, the fps of the gun, what the caliber you put in is, how many BBs you put in (meaning if it is a shotgun how many BBs it can hold at once and how much of that you put in), how acurate the gun is, the brand of gun (some brands shoot faster than others), if the person shooting you is trying to hurt you or not, how much you get shot in each spot, maybe the gun is empty then it wouldn't hurt at all, the worse how close to your ear the gun is (my ear is still ringing), how quick it shoots, as the person above me said what kind of gun it is, and a lot more stuff. Well it depends where you are playing most places you need to be at least 9 years old and have a full face paintball mask, really I thought it was 18 years old. But if your playing in your backyard or some where personal its your choice. If your an adult and your child wants to play airsoft it all depends on the guns fps because some of them can hit harder than a paintball gun such as 550 fps.Try to teach your self or child basic gun safety like the 2 most important facts always where goggles and never point the gun at some one you don't intend to shoot i hope this helps have fun and play safe!!!

Well, it depends are you talking about backyard or competitive. For basics If playing with friends go over rules and signals (if used). And if playing in large numbers use colored rags or paper to signify teams (again if being used).

Also go over safety if playing with beginners or if playing with young children.I play and its awesome so i dont care if you're 2 or 20 i believe its your choice
