Why did al gore withdraw his concession speech to george w bush?

After discovering that Fox news had announced that Bush had won prematurely and that the other news agencies jumped aboard after Fox announced, Gore withdrew his concession speech because it was too close to call. In fact there was no possible way for the news stations to announce Bush the winner that night (he had less than a thousand votes more than Gore). This incredibly narrow margin required a recount or further investigation. Fox news later apologized for its error in announcing Bush the victor and other news agencies apologized for their reliance on Fox. The AP was the only major news source not to declare Bush the victor.

Judicial restraint is the philosophy that judges and justices should defer to written legislation whenever possible, if it is not in conflict with the Constitution. A justice who uses judicial restraint tends to take a narrower view of the Constitution and does not attempt to broaden the definition of Amendments to fit a particular social or political agenda.

Is Al Gore a scientist and why did he win a Nobel Peace Prize?

Al Gore is not now, nor has ever been a scientist. He received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Government from Harvard, briefly attended Vanderbilt University Divinity School (1971-1972) on a yearlong Rockefeller Foundation Scholarship for students planning secular careers. He later admitted to never wanting to be a minister, and later admitted that he had hoped to make sense of the social injustices that seemed to challenge his religious beliefs. From 1974-1976 he attended Vanderbilt University Law School, leaving in 1976 without a degree to run for a seat in the U.S. House of Representatives.

The Nobel Peace Prize was given to Al Gore and the IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change) for their work in bringing public awareness to the theory of human responsibility for a warmer planet.

"The climate crisis is not a political issue, it is a moral and spiritual challenge to all of humanity," Gore said. " It is also our greatest opportunity to lift global consciousness to a higher level." The honor was given to Gore and the IPCC "for their efforts to build up and disseminate greater knowledge about man-made climate change, and to lay the foundations for the measures that are needed to counteract such change," the Norwegian Nobel Committee said in its statement this morning in Oslo.

Why was Al Gore chosen to be Bill Clinton's running mate?

Because he invented the internet. And we all know how strong the economy became during the Clinton years because of the internet.

What did Vice President Al Gore have anything to do with the invention of the world wide web?

Not exactly. He did sponsor a 1988 bill called the National High Performance Computer Act, which helped link universities and libraries with a shared network, and cosponsored a bill in 1992 called the Information Infrastructure and Technology Act, which opened the internet to commercial traffic.

The concept of the World Wide Web was invented in Switzerland by a researcher named Tim Berners-Lee, working at CERN (the European Council for Nuclear Research... the official name is French and they do their adjectives backward, which is why the acronym isn't ECNR). It did rely on the existing "internet" for transmission, but saying that Al Gore invented the world wide web is at least as inaccurate as saying that Alexander Graham Bell did so.

In fairness, though Gore is widely reported as having claimed that he invented the internet, this is not precisely what he said. He did say he took an initiative in creating the internet, which is, though perhaps a bit misleading, more or less true because of the NHPCA and IITA mentioned above... without those acts, it's likely the internet as we know it today would not exist, or would at least have taken significantly longer to develop.
