There are categories just like in regular shows, but it's usually catergorized in either Shojo or Shonen. Shojo is directed more towards girls, and shonen is more for guys. Shonen literally means boy, but I'm not sure about shojo.

Probably best to watch the whole series then the fantastic "End of Evangelion" movie.

However, be aware that many people believe the movie is meant to "replace" the last few episodes of the TV series, as they end in rather different ways.

Also, there is the re-build series of films (2 of which have already been released) which are meant to be an alternative to the timeline of the entire TV series, but they follow a similar plot to the show anyway.

I believe you're thinking of Elfen Lied, in which the main character (among other Diclonius characters) have "vectors," invisible arms that they use to rip people apart.

Elfen is not the name of a character. "Elfen lied" translates from German to "Elf song." The main character's name is Nyu/Lucy.

The OST with the 17 tracks has most of all the songs used on the show . (Yoko Kanno and The Seatbelts .) It is missing "Blue" though .

That is a very good question! I went to wiki's episode list to maybe find a summery of the show and had no luck other than the new season will mostly be about the Pokemon Black and White game. The only thing that I can think of is that if the new season said Pokemon Black and White people would literally think the show is in black and white.
