Though many mental disorders can have physical side effects, and eating disorder is one of the only mental disorders that is also an actual physical disorder. Eating disorders often rob the body of essential nurtients (for disorders like bulimia and anorexia). Starvation and physical abuse (like laxatives, purging, and excessive exercise) can wreak havoc on the body. Other eating disorders contribute to poor butrition (binge eating, compulsive-over-eating, for example) and can lead to obesity-related health problems like diabetes.

Eating disorders can be very life-threatening. Roughly 10% - 15% of all people wth an eating disorder will die directly as a result of that disorder. Some dangerous probelms with eating disorders are....

It varies per person. Some other factors would be if there are choosing the meal, or if it a recovery-meal (meant to make them gain weight in a recovery clinic or treatment center). If they choose, it would probably be low-calorie, low-fat, include no-calorie or very low-calorie drinks, and often includeds less meats and dairy, some grains, and / or a lot of fruits and veggies.

Yes and no, as it depends on the individual. Many anorexics will avoid foods high in fat and calories (such as dairy products and eggs). They do find ways to incorporate those items into their diets, sometimes, though. For example, using a cheese made from skim milk, and using a fat-free milk or soy milk instead of regular milk. Many will often turn to lower-fat egg substitutes or protein-rich egg whites instead of using the whole egg.

It really depends on the individual. Height is a big factor, as smaller people can survive at a healthy level at lower weights. Generally, it is unhealthy for a person to drop below 100 pounds, though.
