What phobia is the fear of orangutans?
It is called rangtasurphobia, which is latin for Rupert grint. More commonly known as crazyredhairyphobia. It is the fear of rangas, normally due to the excessive amount of hair on their legs. There are two classes of rangas that scare people the most, the Hairy austrlian ranga(scientific name:tomacterine) and the Bony territorian ranga(scientific name: isacterine). The main way to tell the difference is the hairy ranga will only ever be seen in water and will have low stamina while the bony ranga is often found running in large circles on land. These have both evolved from normal orangutans and are the cause of most peoples fears. The main traits that rangas have in common are the short temper, is extremely competitive and when asked the hairy ranga will always Dennie his or her ranganess. These species over time have evolved into completely different races and are not to be mistaken for the average orangutan in Indonesia. For example unlike it's cousins the Bony Ranga will not eat any vegetables, especially if they are green. If you try to force feed this ranga any vegetables you will see "Ranga RAGE" and you better start running. The Hairy Ranga on the other hand will easyily gulp down any healthy food as it is constantly trying to become fitter. It is commonly know for constantly failing at things it is supposedly good at.
Another sub-species of ranga which is extremely rare is the wolferanga (scientific name:haryacterine). The main reason for the rarity of this ranga is due to it's surpernatural being. It is the orangutan version of a werewolf and has become distantly related from the other species over thousands of years. When sunlight shines down through the clouds there becomes a slight tinge of orange to the wolferanga's hair. Along with the change in colour it's personality changes into a sporty and competitave bony ranga. These species generaly live in cloudy countries but are known to venture into more exotic places. Unlike the werewolf's problem this seems to be an advantage to wolferangers as they are good at outside sports and when inside don't have the short tempered personality of normal rangers.
Although the fear of orangutans is extremely common there is no need for the fear of becoming ranga yourself as the often called "Disease" is not contagious and can only be inherited.

There does not appear to be a scientific name to specifically describe a fear of candy. Since candy is an indulgence, or a 'junk food' and something we should most likely eat only in moderation, perhaps the fear stems from what might happen if you eat too much candy. Deteriation of your teeth, or your body by adding extra pounds, are two negative effects that an overindulgence might cause.

actually, use of illicit drugs can cause paranoid delusions - making a typical anxiety attach even worse.
usually personal therapy (psychotherapy is usually best) used with medications (therapy WITH meds) which are now commonly prescribed by a family physician or physician's assistant, if a psychologist appointment is set too far in advance or is unavailable on a person's insurance. or if they lack insurance. medications prescribed are usually anti depressants and anti anxiety medications... a few examples are Paxil, Zoloft, or Prozac, with Paxil (generic paroxetine) being mentioned as a very good anti anxiety medication as well as an overall treatment of the underlying depression, (often associated with anxiety disorders.) Anxiety medications include Ativan, Librium, Tranxene, and Xanax.
the combination of medications and therapy are almost universally accepted as better treatment (of course on a case by case basis, every patient is different) than medication or therapy alone.
therapy + med/meds = better patient
the psychotherapy i mentioned can also be provided by a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) if a MD or PhD is out of reach. (in many cases seeing a social worker is all that is needed). i do not mean to insinuate seeing a social worker is bad. in many cases, Social Workers can be more in tuned to the patient on a personal level than an MD would be. or, some MD's are extremely good with therapy - like the patient with anxiety, the entire treating medical staff have a vast array of experience and skills. some people are just not people persons. sorry this is such a long entry. i really hope it helps. (i am not suggesting any of the medications i mentioned are better than any others your personal health care provider may prescribe on a patient by patient basis) bink182

How do selective seratonin norepinepherine reuptake inhibitors work?
Basically, they do not allow the re-uptake of the chemicals serotonin and norepinephrine. People with cases of ADHD, OCD, and such disorders tend to have low levels of these chemicals. With these drugs, the effect of serotonin and norepinephrine last longer because the neurotransmitters are left floating in the synaptic cleft. If I'm wrong, then whoops.
