yes he does go back to the shrine but dies when in his 80s or 90s with his kids and his wife sofia that you will see in assassins creed Revelations.

When your on the docks when he kills the priest there are 4 guards standing in front of a pier lure them away or kill them then get on the pier and keep jumping on the boats and those thick wooden things then jump on those towers and kill the archer sibrand owns the big ship and he has a helmet if you see arrows flying around its just him shooting randomly into the sea,when he turns around just jump on the back of the ship and a Assassinate him if he sees you he will run along the wall going back to the city but theres only about 10 guards on the wall and 2 on his ship.

I think you might mean a grappling hook or the hookblade? AC Brotherhood has none of those tools.

When you are loaded into the time line of your level you go to the starting place of the level.(somtimes you talk to a person or something, it shows the positions of events on map)

If I'm not mistaking, the GOTY has t he DLC installed on the disc while the complete edition has download codes for the DLC. So basically it's all the same, but I personally like when DLC are on the disc.
