What could cause Audi a4 intermittent starting problems?
I have an 1998 A6 2.4. I was getting a lot of intermittent starting problems- especially when the engine was warm, i.e. after a cold start. The problem was a faulty Coolant sender. There was also a lot of corrosion in the connector to the coolant sender. It's a little fiddly to get at - you have to remove sthe flexible air intake hose and the housing for the air filter. The new sender was only £12 + vat.

How do you replace the headlight bulb located on a 2003 Audi A4 Cabriolet?
For an Audi A4 year 2001-2005: There are 4 screws that hold the head light unit in place, you need to remove the complete unit to gain access to the bulbs. 1. you will have to mask off the bumper under the head light first, this will stop you damaging the paintwork. 2. you now have to pull off the electrical connector block this is done by squeezing the small bridge on the side of the block. 3. remove the top 2 screws completely, then slacking off the bottom 2 screws but don't remove them. 4. now slowly pull the head light unit out being careful not to damage the paintwork. 5. lay the unit on a towel to stop it from damaging whilst you unclip the back cover, these bulbs are H7 55 watt. 6. replace bulb and reinstall same as removal. job done.
Put your foot under it and pull up, if the pedal flops back down then you might have to bleed the air from the system. however the question is how did the air get in there, possibly leaking oil at the slave cylinder on the gearbox, or at the master cylinder at the pedal. Check for oil leaking around these points. Hope this helps
How do you open the hood on a 2004 Audi A4 with a broken hood latch?
This is the easiest way. You don't have to take off the bumper like other websites tell you. Use a wide blade scraper and gently pry off the grille cover, start at the top edges near the corner area and work your away around the top. The main lips to the grille cover are at the bottom, so pry the top away first.
Once you remove the grille cover, look inside at the top of the hood. You will see three cap nuts that attach the hood hook to the hood. Using a #10 open end wrench (preferably a longer wrench). Two the the caps are easy to get to but the third one in the back is a little tighter and that's why you need a longer wrench.
Remove those three nuts and your hood will open. Then you can make the necessary cable adjustments/repairs as needed.
