The fuse block is located under the left side of the wind shield: raise your hood , now just in front of the left side (drivers) USA version take the rain shroud loose under there is the fuse block you seek there are two tabs you pull toward you, then lift the lid (lt slides to the right and is removed) upon the lid is fuse definitions (also in your Audi owners manual).

dont sweat keep drining it chrck your oil often if you have no oil ussage your ok if you do start loosing oil you probaly blew a seal if no oil lost it will quit smoking do oil change, change filter, should be fine...most likely have oil in the CAT $50 part not the end of the world

actually you can...if they are the same engine just one was from the automatic version of the car and yours is the manual or vice versa you can do it, the engines are the same, it is the transmission that is different. but if the engine is from a different year/model you might want to check if the transmission and engine will line up properly, or you will do alot of work for nothing

Any fuses are internal to radio. Check the fade control. A broken wire is more common than a bad ground, but that could be it.

I change the brakes on an Audi by removing the caliper. This is done by taking out the Allen head screws from the from the back side. If the rotor is worn, it will have a ridge along the outside so you'll probably have to knock the caliper off with a hammer. After you take the caliper off, take off the old pads find a tool to help you screw in the piston that presses the pads. This will give you enough room to put the caliper back on with the new(and thicker) pads installed. Most brakes i have changed in the past have the pistons that press in with a pair of channel locks or a C-clamp so this one kinda threw me for a loop when i tried it. And by the way, the brakes i changed were on an '01 A4 and i assume yours will be the same. Also, i am not a certified tech, so there are probably some shortcuts i don't know about but this is how i did it.
