Do all car accidents involve more than one vehicle?
No, you could hit your house or in my case the concrete guards that protect the gas pumps.
Who is at fault if someone hits another car in a parking lot in Texas?
It really depends on the circumstances, I would contact your claims department for more information.
No
Additional: The description of "kissing" a bumper and leaving a "scratch" are pretty much in the eye of the beholder. The owner of the struck vehicle may have quite a different veiw of the extent of the damage.
In years past bumpers were made of steel and, in fact, meant for just that purpose - minor bumps. However on modern vehicles what we now call "bumpers" are really nothing more than plastic or fiberglass housings that cover the air-bag sensors. If one of these 'covers' is damaged it can cost upwards of hundreds to replace or repair. Your best policy woiuld be to exchange information with the other owner, or leave a note on the car telling them of the bump. Remember - even if the owner wasn't there at the time - you NEVER know who might have seen you do it!

Here is what happened,
I bumped into a car and nothing happened to my car neither to the other car. I tried to apologize, she kept yelling at me and said that has happened to her before and later she discovered an internal damage and she doesn't want that to happen again. I told her that I'll give her my number and she can contact me if she discovers any internal damage, but she didn't listen to me. All she wanted was my driving license, so, I gave it to her because I panicked and didn't know what to do. I also took her name, address and license's number then she left quickly without exchanging auto insurance information or phone numbers (she might have taken my car's plate number, I'm not sure. The car is not registered under my name, but my name is included in the insurance).
My question is, can she still file a claim to her insurance company without my insurance information? I'm afraid that she will give me troubles I don't need or accuse me with things that didn't happen. What should I do? Should I contact my insurance company and let them know? Should I try to get her number and call her or visit her, since I have her address, to see what is she planning to do? I'm afraid that this will show her that I'm afraid of her and make her do bad things to me while my real intention is to fix any damage I might have caused and avoid problems.

How many people have died in car accidents using a cellphone?
propaganda aside- it is difficult to prove cellphone distraction was the SOLE cause of transportation accident, say one car hits another, impacts telephone pole ( poetic justice?) There are all kinds of factors, fatigue, alcohol or drug use ( consider the Taconic Tragedy involving navigational error ( wrong way on busy highway, alcohol and drugs- and a grim body count. of course if a bloodied cell phone is found in the victim"s hand, well here is a smoking gun. I would say it is impossible to state ONE such crash where this was the proven prime or first cause.
Rear-end collisions are typically caused by following too closely.
They can best be avoided by leaving additional space, such as one car length for every ten miles per hour, between you and the vehicle in front of you. When you are at a stop light or stop sign, leave one vehicle space between you and the vehicle in front of you, then count to three AFTER the vehicle in front of you starts moving forward, then proceed with caution.
According to the United States National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB), in a Special Investigation Report NTSB Number SIR-01/01 NTIS Number PB2001-917003 - (in part) Some of the collisions occurred because atmospheric conditions, such as sun glare or fog and smoke, interfered with the driver's ability to detect slower moving or stopped traffic ahead. In other accidents, the driver did not notice that traffic had come to a halt due to congestion at work zones or to other accidents. Still others involved drivers who were distracted or fatigued. Regardless of the individual circumstances, the drivers in these accidents were unable to detect slowed or stopped traffic and to stop their vehicles in time to prevent a rear-end collision.
According to a 1992 study by Daimler-Benz, if passenger car drivers have a 0.5-second additional warning time, about 60 percent of rear-end collisions can be prevented. An extra second of warning time can prevent about 90 percent of rear-end collisions.
