It's not 100% clear from the question what sort of reciprocity you're asking about, please be more specific.
Practice in a state is controlled by the Bar for that state. To practice in California, you have to be a member of the California Bar. The requirements vary state to state. Generally recent law school graduates and relatively new lawyers must pass the bar exam in the state in which they want to practice. You can also get special permission from the court to work on a particular case in that state. If you've been a lawyer for a few years, you may be able to apply to the bar without taking the test. In California, in addition to the typical fitness, background checks, etc., you have to have actively practiced law for four years. Full details are available on the California Bar web site.
Have you ever taken the bar exam?
From what I hear it's really hard to pass!
Puerto Rico's Bar exam is by far the hardest. 3 full days of exam. 120 multiple answer, and 12 essay questions. 35% average passing rate.
There are no barristers in the U.S., just lawyers. The requirements for entrance into the bar differ from state to state. In most states, bar entrance requires:
1) a JD degree from an ABA recognized law school
2) passing the MPRE (ethics exam) and state specific bar exam
3) passing a character and fitness examination.
New york and massachusets allow Canadian LLB's (canadians are required to have previous undergrad education before entering the LLB program) to take the bar exam and practise.
In other states you should get a llm in common law of the us as long as your llb in your country has simmilar sylabbus to us jd this allows you same privelleges as jd as long as you llb is good enough (i know in Canada it is)
i was woundering that to untill i seen the doctors on tv..they said that no one can get loose from having sex..the only way a girl can get loose is if they had a baby

There are five dates for swearing in: November 22nd, November 23rd, November 29th, November 30th or December 3rd.
In past years, there have been two swearing in ceremonies a day, and the new lawyers were limited to four guests.
