What is the minimum wage for a minor league baseball player?
As of the 2007 season, the minimum rookie pay is $1,100 a month.
If a pitched ball hits the batters hand and also the bat and he is not swinging is it a hit batsman?
If the batter was swinging it is a strike...if the batter was not swinging, then they are deemed to have been "hit by pitch" and are awarded first base.
What is batters interference at home plate when catcher is throwing down to 3rd base?
Batter's interference is when the batter interferes with the catcher's ability to throw and catch a ball that is in play. An example of this is if the batter were to obstruct the catcher when a teammate is stealing a base, resulting in the catcher's inability to throw out the runner.
Can a manager substitute a pitcher after he has thrown a pitch to a batter?
Yes, if the batter was retired with that 1 pitch or got on base or was hit by the pitch. In other words if that batter is no longer up or if this was not the 1st batter the pitcher has faced and the pitcher threw a strike or a ball then the manager could take him out or if the pitcher suffered an injury with that one pitch. If the pitcher comes into a game and throws only one pitch and the batter is still up and there is no injury to the pitcher, then the pitcher must pitch to the batter till he is retired or reaches base on a hit, walk, error, fielders choice, etc.
How much force is needed to hit a home run?
It depends on how hard you grip the ball. The lighter you grab the ball the faster it will go and the harder you grip the ball the slower it shall go.
Are national league baseballs different size than american league?
I'm not completely sure... But I think that each stadium for either league is built based on whoever owns the team of said stadium and the current place that the team is living in (Ex. The ATLANTA Falcons probably have to work with the city of Atlanta since that is where the dome they play in is located, and the training camp is located in Flowery Branch, so the owner of the team probably had to work with Flowery Branch on where the camp would be and all the other aspects of building it there.)
Basically, I think that, unless each league has certain regulations on size of the stadium and the such, that just pulling a random team out of the American and National Leagues and seeing whose is bigger would depend on how the owners and the city made it. If a random National league team stadium can hold 80,000 people in one game and a random American league team can hold 90,000... Then that American league team's stadium is bigger. That's not to say that another National league team hasn't built a bigger one. If you do still want a definite answer, you might want to try looking up "Spectator capacity in American and National league football team stadiums" on Google. Try digging around a bit.
Is it against the rules to steal the catcher's signals?
There isn't any official rule that says otherwise, however, it is poor sportsmanship and sets a bad example for young players. For instance, if they see A. Rod doing it, in they're mind its ok because he did it. Stealing signs or pitch locations is an abomination to the morale of America's past time.

If a fair fly ball is deflected over a fence into foul territory what is the call?
If the ball first lands in foul territory, then it is a foul ball. If the ball lands in fiar territory and rolls into the foul territory after first base, it's a fair ball. - So, if the ball is in the air in fair territory and drifts to foul after first base still in the air, makes first contact with the ground in foul territory, it's a foul ball.
What was the reasoning of the dropped third pitch rule?
it is where if the catcher drops the third strike pitched then the batter can run to first base.
HOpe this helps :)

Why are most ground balls missed in baseball?
Because of the uneven nature of the outfield, ground balls will tend to bounce unexpectedly, making them difficult to predict. Most outfielders are instructed to "Trap" the ball rather than catching it with a glove. Trapping the ball gives you a lot larger surface to stop the ball.
What happens if the ball is 'bunted' on the 3rd strike in softball?
If the ball stays in fair territory, then everything is like a normal bunt. But if the ball is bunted into foul territory on a third strike, then the batter is automatically out.
The runner from 2nd is only out when the defensive team tags 2nd base, not when the infraction occurs. So the run will count unless the defensive team had tagged 2nd base before the run crossed the plate.
If there are 2 outs, and a fly ball is caught by an outfielder, that would be the 3rd out, ending the inning. If the outfielder then throws the ball into the stands, nothing would happen, because the inning would already be over and time would be out.
Why do major league baseball players use wood bats?
one reason is that it makes it harder to hit the ball far
Does a corked bat help the power of the hit?
corking makes the bat lighter so you can swing it faster therefore generating greater speed at the point of impact with the ball, transferring more speed to the ball as it leaves the bat, causing the ball to fly further (provided you don't break the bat and look like a fool - corking a bat weakens the bat as well as making it lighter).
Can a runner get out if the batter gets walked?
Yes. The ball is not declared dead on a walk. The batter could even attempt to steal second right away if he chose to.
You throw a 2 kilogram ball straight up with an energy of 50 Joules. How high does the ball go?
First right from energy 50 J, equated to 1/2 m v2 the value of v initial velocity could be calculated. Now using s = v2/ g we can calculate required S.
Now with m=2, we get v2 = 50 and using g as 10 m/s2 approx
we get required s = 5m
How did the redsox and dodgers trade after deadline?
Waivers. The deadline for regular trades is July 31, after that teams can still trade for another month via the waiver wire. Teams place their players on "waivers" which enables other teams to claim those players. If a player is claimed, the waiving team has 3 days to do choose 1 of the 3 following options: arrange a trade with the claiming team, allow the claiming team to simply take the player and assume his entire remaining contract and salary, or pull him off of waivers and keep him. If no team claims the player within a certain period of time then he is considered to have cleared waivers, and his team can either move him to the minors or pull him off of waivers.
Waivers differs from the regular trade period in that you can no longer approach specific teams and suggest a trade; you can only deal with whichever team claims the player, and teams are given preference according to their record with the worst record getting priority. This rule allows teams in contention to effectively block trades to other teams in their division.
In this instance, LA was in 1st place when they claimed AGon, so SF - being a contender for the Western title - could have opted to claim AGon after learning he was claimed by LA, seeing as SF had the worse record. The downside here is the risk of potentially getting stuck with a player they do not want, need, or can't afford. Had SF claimed AGon in attempt to block him from going to LA, Boston could have just let him go, in which case, SF is now obligated to take the player they didn't actually intend to keep.
The bottom line is that the regular trade period gives you the ability to choose a team with players you want and then negotiate a trade. Trading via waivers forces you to deal with whichever team claims your player, and that team might not have players that adequately address your needs.
