Don Mattingly was the Yankee first baseman from 1982 to 1995. He played left and right field in his first couple of seasons with the Yankees until a full time move to first base. He then became the Yankee hitting coach from 2004-2006 and Joe Torre's bench coach in 2007. He ended his Yankee career with 2,153 hits. He is currently the Los Angeles Dodgers hitting coach. Don's number 23 was retired by the Yankees in 1997.

There have been several great players to have come through Boston. Cy Young, Carl Yastrzemski, and even Babe Ruth just to name a few. if i were to pick the greatest red sox player of all time, it would be Ted Williams hands down. But if i were to pick the best current red sox player i would have to chose Manny Ramirez. He has been a consistent batter throughout his career, with a Career BA over .300. He is on the list of top home run hitters of all time, and he is always clutch. I think he's second on the all time grand-slam list.

Haha, first off they don't burn it off. It is pine tar that's caked onto the helmet in addition to dirt from the field. They do it so they have sticky pine tar on their helmet to reach up and touch to keep their hands sticky and more comfort on bat. Also, they do it because it looks cool. Players on the 25-man roster which is also called the Major League Roster can be sent down to the Minor Leagues at any given time as long as they have options remaining on their clock. A player has 3 options assigned to them when they're added to their team's 40-man roster. An option is good for the entire year so they can use 1 option as much as they want for that season but the next season it goes to option 2 if he's sent back down to the Minor Leagues. If a team tries to send a player down to the Minor Leagues but he has no more options left then he has to clear waivers before he can be sent down. There's also the possibility of a player having a 4th option player but this only applies if a player has less than 5 years of professional experience with their particular team whether it's in the Minor Leagues or in the Major Leagues or a combination of both.

Also when a team sends a player down to the Minor League, a player has the right to refuse that assignment if they have 5 years of Major League Service however refusing such an assignment means he typically will automatically become a free agent in most cases.

Also when a player is sent down, they have to stay down for a maximum of at least 10 however if an injury occurs to a player on the Major League Roster and the player is placed on the DL then the player that was just sent down can be brought back up regardless of the 10-day limit thing.

It's really up to you. You don't want to pick one too big because it will drive the fish away. You want one that will just hold the line where you want it. If you are just fishing on a lake or still water then you would probably be fine with a 1 or 2 ounce sinker.
