It depends on how mature they are. If they are able to handle the blood and swearing then yes. If they are the kind that gets in trouble then no. But overall the game has alot of cursing and a little blood but, it should be okay for a 12 year old.

You press R3 to change to third person, pressing it again you can go back to first person (you can only switch when your in a vehicle).
