Yes there are several Red dot sites made just for BB guns and rifles. As long as it has a mounting rail on the gun it will work.

While many pellet guns are configured to be able to fire regular BB's, most BB guns cannot fire standard BB caliber pellets. To fire a pellet, the BB gun would have to be a breech loaded or break-barrel loaded design, and the pellets would have to be loaded single-shot.

What are you looking to modify , and to what extent ?

Most BB guns are simply a smoothbore barrel , a wooden or plastic stock , and a mechanism , generally called the " action " , but more properly called a receiver , that the compressed air passes through to propel the bb down the bore toward the target.

Some type of sights are important , as well , to align the barrel with the target , so as to increase one`s ability to place your shots on the target.

Generally , sights are the first thing to be improved , followed by the trigger , to increase accuracy.

If you are looking to "modify " some BB gun to fire large numbers of BBs , with a single pull of the trigger , you are wasting your time.

Such BB machine guns were common , back before some idiots in the EPA decided Freon was bad for the ozone layer ( science doesn`t back this up , get over it ! ) , and 1lb cans of freon provided the volume of gas needed to push a cloud of BBs 20-30 yards , with poor accuracy.

You could search Ebay , better still one of the firearms oriented auction sites , and simply buy yourself a BB MG - but be prepared for sticker shock !! They are expensive , and with the passage of time , brittle , plastic . As well, one must also find a way to convert them to use a different source of compressed air.

My suggestion would be this : learn to fire one BB at a time , accurately.

Note the word " accurately " - you will enjoy it more, spend less on BBs , less on equipment , and learn something useful in the process.

After 10 years in the military , and having fired a great variety of machine guns , I have to tell you - the thrill wears off really fast !

First you have to tell us what condition the rifle is in. Is it Excellent, Good, Fair, or Poor. Without this information it is impossible to give you an estimate of the value.

BB guns have 3 different power plants. Spring, C02 and Pump.

1. Spring power: When the rifle or gun is cocked a spring is compressed inside a piston and released when the trigger is pulled. The piston pushes air ahead of it forcing the BB to fly out the barrel.

2. C02: C02 gas is contained in a cylinder. when the trigger is pulled a burst of C02 gas is released and forces the BB out the barre

3. Pump: When the rifle is pumped using the forearm, air is stored in a cylinder inside the rifle. when the trigger is pulled the air is released forcing the BB out the barrel.

There is one more power plant but it is used in High power air rifles and guns only and that's PCP. Air is introduced into the rifle with a scuba tank taking the pressure up to 3000 PSI and is used to power the rifle for several shots.

I believe you are asking about a BB rifle made by Daisy for Sears, the model number is 799 9045. If this is it, then it's a Daisy model 25. To load the BB gun you have to unscrew the very end of the barrel. pull it out you will see a spring inside a long tube. Pull it back and load the tube with BB's let the spring go back down and push the BB together Now carefully screw the tube back into place and cock the forearm back and forth. You are ready to fire.

No. They are legal. But I suggest that you check with local law enforcement as to where you can use them.

There is no 193B Daisy BB gun. However there are 11 different varations of the 1938 Daisy rifle made. Starting in 1972.

During the 40's a cast iron lever guard was used. In the early 50's it was changed to aluminum. Some time in the mid 50 's plastic was being used in quite a few places. My guess it would be around 1955.
