If you turn a cal king sideways will it fit into a king frame?
No the dimensions are way off. A king size frame or bed is 76X80 and a cal king is 72X84.

Are there Twin XL Daybeds with Twin XL Trundles underneath?
No. You can get a Twin XL Daybed, but the trundle underneath will be the regular twin size. The one below must be smaller than the one above or else it wouldn't fit below. XL's are 80 inches long. Regular are 75 inches long. Hope this helps....
What are the benefits of a regular mattress versus a pillowtop mattress?
Main benefit is that you can turn it upside down. The pillow top mattress you cannot, you can only rotate it. That causes in getting indent in a mattress where you sleep. That means you will need to change a pillow top mattress sooner than a regular one.
But you need to compare apples with apples. Good pillow top mattress will last you longer then a cheap regular mattress. Check consumers product reviews sites such as www.reviewseverest.com to read reviews by people who purchased those mattresses. And for sure buy from the place that has exchange policy.

What is the difference between a double mattress and twin mattress?
A twin is made for one person and a double is made for two. A double is the same as a full...just different name. A twin is also known as a single (twin=single, full=double). I think they should have just stuck with a single and double...much easier to keep straight. A twin is for one person, really? How confusing!
As a side note, 2 Twin/Single XL's (4 inches longer) are equivalent to a King.

its the style of the headboard and footboard. they look like panels. there are also slab beds, which have no footboard, platform beds, which sit on a platform, and have no boxspring, poster beds, which have posts tat go up to the ceiling, and bunkbeds.

NO, It is not, I contacted 3 furniture stores looking for a discarded mattress and they all tried to sell me one. I asked how they could do this when it was illegal. THey told me they wrote it up as a frame sell. I contacted Lisa Madigans office and reported it . She sent me out a a form to fill out to report all 3 businesses. So yes, it is illegal.
Is Memory foam mattress odor harmful?
Odor coming from the memory foam should not be harmful in anyway, however it is unwelcome. You can use everyday household cleaners to remove most odors. Try sprinkling some baking soda on your mattress for 24 hours then vacuum it up.
