My third grade class just finished the Foss kit science unit that included a shipment of live Bess Beatles. Yes, they do have bristles that enable them to catch and hold certain things, I guess for friction. The bristles are on their walking legs.

It could be figured out with a punnet square of 2 parent beatles such as brown could be Bb for hetrozygus and green could be gg for homozygus when u cross them it depends. the first baby would be brown and then the brown would be the dominent trait the green would disapear in the first batch of 4 beetle babies all the way the the second batch would have 3 brown and 1 green.
