What does it mean when a sun conure does this weird little squat as if she needs to lay an egg or something but looks healthy and acts normal?

Is she possibly hormonal? A puberty or adult bird will become hormonal and want to mate. Signs of hormonal behaviour are squatting low and lifting bum into the air, squatting down with bum in the air and making chirping sounds or rubbing her vent on perches, toys etc. Rubbing her vent is a form of masturbation and can be quite embarrassing but its normal. However I am new to birds so please get a second opinion as I don't want to mislead you. If you're concerned about your bird or notice a change in her droppings or general behaviour, please speak to a avian veterinarian who can advise you.

Are parakeets messy?

Yes. They will throw unliked food and empty seed shells on the floor, they whether they were on the couch or on the cage, they will have a mould when most of their feathers fall out, and they do have this very fine dust, that you can see in every single surface. So you will be needing that vacuum-cleaner and a mop ;)

What is the sickness of the parakeets?

Parakeets can have many sicknesses. Recently, my parakeet passed away due to a tumor and trauma when trying to produce an egg. They can also experience egg binding when an egg gets stuck coming out of the cloaca. If their cage is not cleaned, they can get mites that will make them loose their feathers. Parakeets can develop many illnesses if not treated correctly.

Why do female parakeets destroy other female parakeets eggs?

If you are asking this, you are probably colony breeding budgies in an aviary I highly advise you stop breeding and research budgies for a few years and then you may start planning. Hens will destroy other pairs eggs for a few different reasons. The hen may want the nesting box for herself to use, so she cleans it out. She may want to breed with the cock so she destroys the pairs eggs. She may just be jealous. Never, ever, ever keep more than one breeding pair in a single breeding box or aviary. I also do not recommend the use of aviaries for breeding. Keeping an uneven amount of hens and cocks in a breeding environment will result in bloody fights.

My parakeet eats to much what to do?

Are you concerned about how much your bird is eating because of the cost, or because your bird is becoming obese?

If you are concerned because of the cost, I hate to be harsh, but you should have thought of that before you got a pet. Birds have very high metabolisms and eat a lot relative to their body size.

If your bird is becoming obese, there could be several reasons. One is that your bird is not eating nutritionally appropriate food. A plain seed diet is very high in calories but does not have all of the micronutrients that your bird needs. Try offering tiny pieces of fresh fruits and vegetables in addition to seeds or pellets.

Another reason is a metabolic problem. Your bird might be having trouble processing the macronutrients (fat, protein, and carbohydrates) which can make him fat. Birds can also develop diabetes, which can make them obese, but sometimes they develop diabetes because they are obese (humans have the same problem).

Really, only your veterinarian will know for sure. Make sure that your veterinarian is an avian specialist because most mainstream vets don't get much information on bird nutrition and metabolic disorders.

How can you stop your parakeet from throwing up seeds to his toys?

I think this budgie loves his toys too much. Birds usually only throw up food from their crop to feed either their mates or their chicks. Or he may be sick. It sounds as if your budgie thinks it's toys are it's mate, so I think the best thing to do would be to remove them. If your budgie continues this behavior, you might want to take him to the vet's to get him/her checked out.
