How do you stop two budgies from fighting?

Border Collies are well known for being same sex aggressive so it's best not to have them together at all. Failing that, the dogs should have their own toys, sleeping areas (securely away from each other), feeding areas and so on. Constant supervision is essential and you should be able to stop any challenging behavior before it escalates. When you can't supervise, the dogs should be separated and confined to their own separate space.

Every time your dogs fight, it will reinforce their reasons for fighting and make it so much more difficult to train out, it is essential that you do not allow it to happen again.

How can you find a budgie bird in a house?

Catching a budgie that has escaped can be tricky, but here are some tips: 1. Make sure that your windows and exterior doors are closed. Trying to find a lost bird in your house is hard enough, but trying to find a lost bird outside can be heartbreaking. 2. Close all the doors inside the house, including closet and cabinet doors. Check inside closets and cabinets before closing the door. That will keep the bird from going from room to room and making the search more difficult. Open and close doors carefully as you search from room to room. 3. Look up. Budgies feel safer on high perches. Your budgie may be on top of curtain rods, bookshelves, or door frames. 4. Turn off as many things as you can that make noise. Your budgie will probably chirp or squawk occasionally and you can follow the sounds.

How frequently does a dove lay eggs?

Why do birds bite?

geese bite to keep babys safe also if they feel threatend

(Addition) you've also got to look at the way geese normally behave amongst themselves. Not all bites are intended as an attack. Geese have no hands, and therefore often have to use their mouths the way we use our hands. there are "friendship" nips among geese, and sometimes these geese will give you a playful little nip as well, out of friendship.

Ask youself if the bite really hurt. If a goose wants to hurt you by biting you, it surely can and it will be very painfull. If on the other hand the bite didn't hurt, (perhaps it just startled you) then I assure you that the bite is not intended to hurt.

Can budgie live in air condition room?

Parakeets can be in airconditioning as long as its above 73 and its not directly under any open vents.

How can you tell if your parakeet is going to die?

A health parakeet will have shiny feathers, clear eyes, shiny beak, and a cere that is free of drainage. A fluffed parakeet that sits at the bottom of the cage is very sick and needs attention immediately.

How long do pet budgies grow?

It will depend if it is a baby or not. A hatchling will start to get feather pins in a couple days after hatching. It will be fully feathered in about a month. If your parakeet has molted, I recommend buying a molting suppliment or molting diet seeds, it is a very stressful time for a bird. These molted feathers will grow back in depending on how well the bird is taken care of and the size of the feather growing in. My quaker lost his tail feathers and it took about a month for them to start sprouting back out. If it is a non-flight feather or down feather it should grown in quite quickly.

When do birds make their nests?

How do you get rid of birds nesting on porch?

Discouraging birds from building nests on a porch can include constant removal of any nests. A very effective method is putting cat food on the porch. A stray will be attracted which is a natural deterrent of birds. Another possible solution is inserting a v shaped railed over any flat surface to eliminate a plane for nesting.

Is it OK to put two female parakeets in one cage?

Yes. A male and a female cockatiel would be best to share a cage. If you put two males or two females together, they may fight. You don't have to worry about a male and a female breeding if they are in the same cage. Cockatiels won't breed unless there is a nesting box attached to the cage.

What are birds eaten by?

Small cats, snakes, and other birds are the chief predators.

Why did your parakeets stop chirping?

Do you know if your budgie is a male or female? Females are generally much more quieter than males, however if your bird is very social and talkative and suddenly he/she has stopped for the past few days, I'd take them into the vet, he could be ill.

Good luck!
