Birds and reptiles do not urinate; all their excrement comes out together. Because they do not excrete urine, the nitrogen in their waste is excreted as uric acid instead of urea. Uric acid is what forms the white paste that we associate with bird poop. However, if you will look closely, you'll find that there is other, darker material as well.
While our poo is generally brown because the haemoglobin (the red substance on the surface of red blood cells which makes them red & also allows them to carry oxygen to our bodies) gets broken down to a brown coloured pigment called bilirubin & is excreted in our poo.

How do you keep a baby mockingbird alive that fell out a nest?
It is hard, but you can try. Get a small box, put in a hot water bottle or heating pad ( you want to keep it warm) and you will need to feed it. The mama bird throws up the food into the baby bird mouth so you will need a soft mushy meat and bone meal mixture. There could be a commercial type of feed that a pet shop may have ( people who work in them sometimes have great info too). If you have a local zoo or animal rescue group they might be able to help you too. I saved a baby owl once through the zoo.
