Can birth control mess up your period?
There are many different forms of birth control, but if you're talking exclusively about hormonal birth control such as combination pill, mini pill, or ring then they don't so much 'mess up' your period as stop it all together.
Menstruation is part of the menstrual cycle/reproductive cycle, a domino effect of hormonal changes between the brain and reproductive organs over the space of 28 days on average. Menstruation occurs roughly two weeks after ovulation, if the egg released is not fertilised it triggers the break-down in the uterus lining design to support a fertilised egg.
Hormonal birth control such as the combination pills works to suppress the menstrual cycle/reproductive cycle in order to prevent ovulation (it also effects cervical mucus and prevents uterus lining becoming as thick) - as a woman doesn't ovulate while on hormonal birth control it means she doesn't menstruate. The bleeding women get while on the pill is a withdrawal bleed caused by the drop in hormones when going from the active to inactive/placeo pills, this is meant to mimic menstration but is not the same thing.
During the first three months on a new hormonal birth control some irregular bleeding is normal as the body adjusts from having a menstrual cycle to this synthetic pattern of withdrawal bleeds. Irregular bleeding can be a common side-effect of hormonal birth control, if it continues after three months it is best to discuss this with a doctor to consider switching to another brand or form of birth control without this side-effect.
In actual means a girl is fertile from 14 days before the date when her menses start for the first time

What happens to ejaculated sperm when on birth control?
Nothing. When using birth control (eg, the Pill) the female's body is fooled into thinking it is already pregnant by using hormones. This is how it works. You don't fall pregnant because your body thinks that an egg has already been fertilized and there is therefore, no need to produce another one (since we have only one pregnancy at a time). When the sperm search for an egg to fertilize, they do not find one (as it has not been produced) because as far as your body is concerned, it has one fertilized egg already and nothing more is required. So the sperm basically search and eventually die.

How does the birth control pill work?
Birth control pills work by giving your body additional estrogen and progesterone, at different amounts during the month. This increase in estrogen and progesterone works via a negative feedback loop; in other words, it tells your body that there is a lot of estrogen and progesterone and therefore it needs to shut off the pathways that produce that estrogen and progesterone. To do this, the body lowers the amount of another hormone, FSH. This hormone, also known as follicle-stimulating hormone, not only affects the release of estrogen and progesterone, but also is necessary for follicle development. Birth control pills decrease the amount of FSH, making it impossible for your follicles to develop. Consequently, these follicles can never mature and release the egg.

Just go to a store and buy them, or get them from a Family Planning Clinic.
Local clinics are shown on the web and are in all cities where they are free, dont be worried about people finding out. Friends wont take the mick (or they wouldn't be friends) and your partner will be pleased you got them. Don't forget there are social workers at school who will hand them out, don't be scared to ask, they are there to be safe.
Are you stupid you shouldn't have sex at 14 that is to young. Sex leads to babies and a child can't raise a baby.
A:More should be said about the dangers of having sex at an early age not just how to get condoms for free ! Some schools will have councelors or social workers connected with them but they don't just give condoms out to whoever asks them willy-nilly It is not about that ! They give advice about sexual relationships and try and discourage under-age sex. They can tell the difference between kids who are serious and those who are not. Advice is given on picking up sexual diseases and what you should do and not do. It is surprising how little children know about these subjects in fact. Children always pretend that they know everything, and don't really want to listen to family preaching on about everything, and that's why it is important they have someone impartial to turn to for advice. Yes a sexual health clinic can give out condoms but they want to get information back about you at the same time to make sure you are being as careful as possible.
