I own BMW 530d 2006 model and the outside temp sensor is inside front bumper (front left bottom of bumper)

check the glove compartment, i think BMW put a lever in there that will open the back(not sure though)

For my 2008 528i there is a housing under the hood that holds the assembly that the bulb plugs in. The housing is located directly behind the low beam location under the hood. Remove the cover and be sure not to loose the gasket to prevent water from damaging the bulb. Twist the bulb assembly to access the bulb. Replace the faulty bulb and replace it with a H7 from any auto parts store. Now replace the bulb assembly into the headlight housing and turn to the right. Replace the cover and you are done! And you probably saved some $$$

You do not specify what year. With the air filter on the E36 (approx 1992-1999) you must remove the glovebox. After the glovebox is removed you will see the air filter on the left side (on an RHD car)

I mean, the car will go up to 200K but if you are willing to handle all the maintenance issues then yeah, go for it, you will have a few years. I got mine at like 70K miles so I have a really long time BUT I have to do the maintenance soon. In your case, it might have already been taken care of (doubt it, but maybe). That's a tough one. The 528i weighs less, but has an engine with less torque and horsepower. Honestly none of those cars are exactly "fast." How about this, a 1997 540i has the same engine as a 1997 740iL and weighs less.

There is a few things! If the radiator cracked and water shot out while she was running it wud cease, if you let it run out ov oil she will cease or something simple like the emobiliser! if its dat den its an easy fix you need it removed or redone!
