I love the Boston Celtics, but I think I know why people hate them. People hate the Boston Celtics because of their basketball excellence. Their 17 world championships are the most of any nba franchise, and they have the longest championship streak in nba history with eight straight titles from 1959-1966. But a great team is not a great team without great players. Bill Russel, Larry Bird, John Havlicek, Bob Cousy, and many other Celtic legends frustrated fans of other teams. The current Bosotn Celtics team is still good, but it is not the best, and people still hate them because they always rise to the occasion when people don't expect them to do so. Like the Celtic legends, this current team has players such as Rajon Rondo, Paul Pierce, and Kevin Garnett that infuriate other fans. The fans that hate the Celtics the most are Laker fans, Heat fans, and Philly fans because of their rivalries with this team.
