Not unless you are extremely good at handling large unpredictable animals. I have dealt with buffalo (bison is the proper scientific name) and while at times they are in fact very gentle they also are prone to aggressive behavior. They are much like toddlers in a 800 lb to 2000+ lb body and as such even the slightest tantrum can cause significant damage to person and property. Having said that, I'd have to conclude that no a buffalo is not good for a pet, but never the less there are those who have ventured to do it and trained their "pets" even to the point of one I know of being house broken.

Yes and No. Yes due to the fact that males of buffalo (and bison) are called bulls, just like with male domestic cattle (that are intact). No to the fact that the term bull is just a term for the male sex of the Bovidae family (and others like elephants, seals, rhinos, etc), and the term buffalo is a generic term for the wild bovines cousins to the domestic bovine that refer to Asian Water Buffalo (wild and domestic), African Cape Buffalo, and the American Bison.

A rhino has a ton of muscle, strong giant horn, longer body, and better bulk than an ox. In fact, rhinos weigh 4 tons, which is quite a lot, and thick hide is built for the rhino to protect itself from the ox's hooves and horns.

the mate and in a month the female buffalo have the baby.
How big are adult water buffalo horns?
Each individual horn can average to grow up to 3 to 4 feet in length. It's much harder to measure spread since they don't grow outwards from the skull much like domestic cattle do, or like the domestic bovine breed the Texas Longhorn does.
What are the differences between yak and water buffalo?
Yaks are very hairy creatures, with very long hair and a large hump over their shoulders. Water buffalo have very short hair, long horns that splay towards their back, and quite a bit larger than a yak. Water buffalo are found in the tropics, whereas yaks are found in the cold mountainous regions of Nepal and Mongolia.
Will Musk Ox and Bison breed together?
The answer to that is most likely yes, over 95% of all species of animal originated from tropical rain forests. They migrated north and south and adapted to the various biome climates. Elephants adapted long fur during the Ice Age and took on the identity of woolly mammoths.
You can compare the hair on the bodies of humans from the tropical regions to those of let's say Denmark or Sweden, you'll find that even people up in the colder regions have adapted more body hair.
Another adaptive trait for animals that travel to the extreme north from the rain forest, is that they become more black-and-white and color. Where in the rain forest, they are very colorful.
