It means that your actual cable running to your television is kinked, has noise, or is inferior to send the data in the cable itself. This is a problem for many people who buy homes with pre-wired outlets. Typically these outlets from the contractor are cheap! Very cheap because they want to D demand optimal cable for them to signal upstream and downstream to work properly. The less expensive cables do not have a weave which is around the coaxial. This metal weave is critical to moving data within the core, and if this is limited the movement of the data is slowed because of the limited wire in the cable itself.
the default pin is usually 1234 unless someone has changed it

How do you program a Guide plus universal remote without a code search button?
Turn the device on you want to program - the TV for instance. Point the remote directly at the TV. Hold down the TV button and the power button illuminates while also holding down the TV button at the same time. When the power button turns off, then release both keys. Now, point the remote directly at the front panel of the device, hold down the play button for 5 seconds. Did your device turn off? If yes press the stop key and you're done. If no, keep pressing play every 5 seconds until your device turns off. When your device turns off, press the reverse key on the remote and wait at least 2 seconds. The remote tries the last of the previous ten codes. Hopefully this answer solves your problem.
A s-video cable provides a connection for Super Video, which is a higher quality video signal than the more common composite video (usually the yellow phono jack marked Video). The Super Video signal provides two components of the composite video signal separately for better resolution and color rendition. The two components, luminance (Y) and chrominance (C), are carried on two parallel coaxial wires in the s-video cable. The four pins in the connector are for Y, Y ground, C, C ground.
Cable TV is a convenient distribution system for densely populated areas and can be offered with telephone ad Internet services as a bundle. However, it is not a preferred delivery method away from areas of dense housing. Terrestrial transmission and satellite broadcasts are rather more useful for rural areas where cable installation costs are prohibitive.

Will cat5e cable support high definition tv signals?
There are several ways to send video over CAT5. The method depends on the type of signal. Composite video signals can use a passive adaptor at each end of the CAT5 cable. The adaptors normally use a small transformer at the transmitter to match the signal to the cable. At the far end, another transformer matches the signal to a standard video co-ax cable ready to feed into a monitor or television. These are simple adaptors and are relatively inexpensive. Signal paths of several hundred feet are quite practical.
VGA signals need a little more processing. As they have three separate video signals and two synchronizing signals, they need to be processed into only four signals (CAT5 cable has 4 signal pairs). Because of the design of CAT5 cable, on a long run, the red, green and blue signals can become delayed by different times. Although the times are minuscule, it is possible to see the timing errors on a screen. Each of the three colors will become shifted horizontally. To correct for this, good VGA - CAT5 converters will compensate for these tiny delays. This makes a VGA -CAT5 system much more expensive than a standard video system.
HDMI over CAT5 is also now available. Similar to the VGA system, HDMI - CAT5 converters are active units and also need signals to travel in both directions. Although expensive units, they do provide a method to extend the maximum transmission distance of HDMI from 60 feet or so more than 100 feet.

A remote code for a soyo tv can anyone help?
I could never find the SOYO codes until now. The cable company gave me these codes. 11826, 11546, 11831, 11830, 11824, 11828, 11823, and 10466.
11830 is the one that worked for me. I was really surprised. Been looking for the last six years and finally found them. This is for a remote from the cable company I got because of a cable upgrade. Maybe they'll work for you. I think SOYO is out of business. The TV works great but they were a bad company to do business with.
What is the average cost to have cable?
Depends on what services are being delivered:
* Digital cable phone? * Digital cable internet? * Digital cable television? * Expanded TV channels or premium channels? Mine is about $125 per month and includes 20MB download, 2.0MB upload, digital phone with loads of options, and digital television with extended channels, one movie tier and a hundred or so commercial free radio stations. The cost would be about the same whether in an apartment or a house. Some rental properties include the very basic TV channels and nothing more.

What is the remote control code for a Symphonic TV model number CST247FE?
Which remote control? A number of outfits post online different codes for different remotes for different sets. (Hope that made sense.) Try programming the remote to operate another set other than the Symphonic. If the remote works, fasten your seatbelt. Here's why. There are still a few "hard-headed" manufacturers who make sets that have remotes with "oddball codes" and they cannot be replaced with the universal remotes. Some Symphonic sets are like this. Buy a remote from a company that will take it back if it won't program to your set. Ask them up front about returns. Radio Shack is one such company that will take the remote back if you cannot make it work with your unit and you return it with all the stuff it came with - including the receipt.
How can you tell whether your TV is analog or digital?
A quick way to check is to see how many channels it gets. For instance, in the UK, there are only 5 analogue channels in most areas (BBC-1, BBC-2, ITV, Channel 4/S4C, Five). On digital there are many more (BBC-3, BBC-4, ITV-2, E4, More 4, Film 4 and so on). If you can get any single channel that isn't on analogue, it's a digital set.
If that fails, try looking on the set for a "DVB" logo. If it has that, it's digital.
Next, turn to a channel where there is no station broadcasting. If you get "snow", then it's analogue.
How old is the set? If it's more than 5 years, it's most likely analogue. How much did you pay for it? If it was cheap, it's most likely analogue. Is it HDTV? If it is, and it's relatively new, then it's most likely digital.
In bad weather, what type of interference do you get? If it's snow, "ghosting", the colour going off or the picture rolling, it's analogue. If it's "pixellation" (blocks of the screen freezing or running slower) or the picture freezes solid on one image, then it's digital.
Finally, did you need a new aerial or a new cable box or were you told you no longer needed a digibox ("Freeview box" in the UK)? If so, it is most like a digital set.
As of today June 13th your analog tv will just show snow or a blue screen. You will need the free $40 coupon for a digital converter. Target and Best Buy have Apex and Walmart has Magnavox around $49 or $9 with government coupon.

What is the cable codes to program the sentry really big remote?
The instructions that come with it are awful, and none of the codes worked. The only way I could get my the codes for my devices was to turn on only the selected device (TV, Cable) press the code search button til the red light came on, then press the appropriate button once (TV, Cable, etc) then press the power button on the Really Big Remote again and again with a few seconds in between until the device turns off. Immediately press the ENTER button on the Really Big Remote. IF you caught the code, it will now turn the device on and off. If you didn't, try it again, pressing the power button with more seconds in between, so you are sure which press of the button turned it off. I can now turn all devices off and on, and switch channels and lower/raise volume. Still can't access the cable menu though.
