To set tax buttons on the SPL-P500 calculator, first press the "TAX" key to enter the tax mode. Then, input the desired tax rate using the numeric keypad, followed by pressing the "SET" key to save the rate. You can also set additional tax rates by repeating the process if needed. To exit tax mode, simply press the "TAX" key again.

The Calculator application is usually visible in the Dock. A single click on the icon will launch it. If it is not in the Dock it can be found in the Applications folder. Double clicking on the icon in the Applications folder will launch Calculator.

Its just a different way to measure angles, like radians and degrees.

180 degrees= pi radians= 200 grads(180° = π radians = 200g)

The calorie intake for a child should be approx 1500 cals per day. Remember excersie should be a part of any weight lose program. Do not pay to much attention to the BMI as it can be missleading. I am 5'10 and weigh 200 lbs. but have a fat percentasge of 12%. the BMI index tells me I am obese. The weight I have is muscle.

I couldn't tell you because it is pretty simple stuff so for me it would be a non calculator topic.

For younger kids however I would use a scientific calculator to help them understand.

The calculator continually consumes a small amount of power to store data in temporary RAM memory. That is why it is recommended that you archive all of the programs and data on your calculator before you change the batteries; if you do not, there is a chance you will lose the data saved in the temporary RAM memory when you remove them. When your batteries get low, the power in the spare button battery will start to be consumed (it acts as the battery backup so you do not lose data right away when the main batteries die).

log is short for logarithm

log(base a)x=y is the same as saying a^y=x

Normal log is base 10. So if you see log with no subscript after it, it is log base 10.

So when you press the log button on your calculator and put a number after it you are asking 10 to what power =100? And 10 to the second power = 100 so you will get an answer of 2.

A log (base 5)625 you would be asking, 5 to what power is equal to 625? The answer is 4 because 5^4=625

Logarithms are used to simplfy complex calculations. The Richter scale for measuring earth quakes is expressed in the form of a logarithm. A increase of 1 on the scale means an increase of 10 times.

It is an excellent tool to help you know how much you would pay should you get a loan to purchase a home. The amount of the loan may not be as important as the monthly payment your are responsible for each month!
