Why is a 1986 Canadian penny worth so much?

I'm sure you came across a 1986 Canadian penny, just like i did, and wanted to find out how much it was worth, even if it was just one cent. I'm also sure that you saw the Answers.com answer come up first through Google, just like I did. Then you read that answer that says it's worth like 250,000 American dollars, or whatever the answer said, as of XX/XX/XXXX date. I'm sure it's just some little technicality that whoever provided the answer was manipulating when they gave that answer. That or the person was trolling.

I came across a website that said it was like $3 and something cents if it was in proof condition, which I think means the same as uncirculated condition. Nothing really special, but nice to know. Hope this helps you out.

Its a one cent 1914 Georgivs v del?

This sounds like a Canadian 1 Cent coin, and its value can range anywhere from about $1 in poor condition, up to $100 in perfect uncirculated condition. If it's average-circulated, you're looking at a value of $2 or $3 at best.

What is the value of a George V 1929 Canadian penny?

If the 9 in 1929 is lower than the other numbers then it is worth between 32 cents and $21. If there is a high 9 then it is worth between $20 and $330. In the future please add a condition of the coin so I can value it more precisely for you.

How much is a 1917 Canadian One Cent piece worth?

It is worth 1 Cent if you go and spend it, but if you sell it somewhere like Ebay you can get about $10 from it.

I'm sorry but i saw this answer and thought it completely retarted so i thought i shall improve the answer

One day when i was in my back yard meadow i found a penny from 1917 i took found it was worth about 10-20 dollars. If you were to go to a store and try to use the penny they would not accept it.

Hope this helps

How much is a 1975 penny with hole in center worth Canadian coin?

One cent (Canadian or US since the exchange rates are so similar). 1975 is a common date and only worth a penny regardless of the shape it is in. The hole was created after the coin left the mint and so the coin is damaged and worthless to a collector.

Are the pennies that look like silver worth anything?

If a penny is silver in color, it is probably made out of steel coated zinc. They were issued during the year 1943 in WWII due to the shortage of copper. If the dealer says it's metal composition is silver, it's probably fake and only worth it's silver content. But if it's a steel coated zinc penny, it will be worth about $0.50 in Good condition, about $1.50 in Fine condition, about $25 in MS-55, and $50 in MS-65 condition. But don't be so sure about all the amounts, as I'm a novice collector.

What is the value of an 1854 Canadian Halfpenny?

Official Canadian coinage did not begin until 1858, so your coin may be a special issue, a token, private coinage, or some other item. Your best bet would be to have it inspected in person by someone such as a dealer who works with Canadian coinage.

Georgivs vi d g rex et indimp 1940 kg Canada penny - what is it worth?

I have the exact same coin! And I was wondering the same thing. But I don't think our coins are worth more than $1. My advise is keep it with you. It is really something. 'Cause to me, it is worth a lot. Not even Queen Elizabeth could buy it off me for $2,000,000,000 or more!
