US coins are worth more than Canadian coins. If you pay in US currency in Canada, the vendor makes money. If American vendors allowed the reverse, they'd lose money.

The penny could be worth anywhere from $10 to $900. It greatly depends on the condition of the coin.

I have been trying to find out the same thing myself.

$10 - $20. I literally JUST looked into this as I acquired one hidden in a pill box in a box from an auction. I found one on ebay for $18.99 + $1 shipping. I also found info that says it is actually a medal not a coin. It said that it is worth about $10.00 U.S. If you would like to see for yourself just type rose aciculaire in google search engine.

Probably a 20 Franc coin from Belgium. At the time it was issued, it would have been equivalent to about $1.60; however, Belgium now uses the Euro, and has demonetized its Franc-denominated coins, so its only value now would be its numistmatic value (that is, its value to a coin collector). Unless it is in uncirculated condition, it is unlikely to be worth more than a few cents, which is also probably its value as scrap metal.

It's not a rare or especially valuable date (similar to the steel American cent of the same year). In normal circulated condition, one is worth around 25 cents. Uncirculated, the value goes up to around $3.

From the odd auction sites Ive checked this coin is worth only slightly more than the silver content (around $25 or so) unless it's in very good condition...in which case I would consult a numismatics (coin collector) expert if you possess one.

FWIW, the coin is just a 2-cent piece. A penny is worth 1¢ so a "2-cent 1-cent" coin would be pretty odd.

Unless this date has sentimental value to you, then it is only worth face value. If it is an incredible high grade then it will be worth a bit more, but as a rule of thumb, it is worth 25 cents.
