The first four cards could all be of different suits.

The next four cards might also all be of different suits.

This would mean that you would have two of each suit.

Then you might have to draw a ninth card to be sure of having three of the same suit.

I was taught this way. Use 2 standard decks including jokers, for 108 cards. Two's and jokers are wild. There are 6 hands. Each player is dealt 7 cards, one turned over in discard pile. the first player either takes that card or pushes it to player on his left placing the next card in the stock face down on that to push and then takes the nextcard off of the stock pile. Play continues like this so there is no accumulating discard pile. The hands go like this.

1. 2 sets of 3

2. run of 4 (same suit) and set of 3

3. 2 runs of 4

4. 3 sets of 3

5. run of 7

6. set of 8

You have to have all required sets or runs to lay down and once you lay down you can play anything, 3 card runs or 3 or more card sets. You can play off anyone else who is down.

scoring: face cards and tens are 10 pts., aces and two's are 20 pts., jokers are 50 pts. 3 - 9's are 5 pts.

I think you have your games confused. Blackjack is played against a dealer, whoever gets the closest to 21 without going over wins if their hand is better than the dealers hand. The value of the last card played has no special meaning. Perhaps you are thinking of the game of Crazy Eights.

To play the 'Warriors' card game from Warrior Cat Pics, each player starts with a deck of cards representing warrior cats. Players take turns drawing cards and using their abilities to defeat opponents' cats. The goal is to be the last player with cats remaining on the battlefield. Strategize wisely and use the special abilities of your cats to outplay your opponents.

The object of the game is to get rid of the player's personal draw pile.

2 to 4 players.

Use 2 full decks, no jokers.

Each player is dealt a 5 card hand and a 10 to 20 card personal draw pile (2 players = 20 cards, 3 players = 15 cards, 4 players = 10 cards). The remaining cards are placed in the middle of the table, they are the general draw pile.

Each player also has 4 spaces into which they discard one card at the end of each hand. The rules governing these personal discard piles are: a player may not move a card from one pile to another, once you place a card onto a pile the only way it can be moved is to play it onto one of the general discard piles; only the top card in any pile may be played.

The rules for the personal draw pile: only the top card may be turned over and it can only be played into the general discard piles. When the top card is played, the next card may be turned over and played.

Kings are wild.

There are 4 general discard piles in the center of the table. Any player may play into the general discard piles from either their personal hands, their personal discard piles, or their personal draw piles during their turn. The discard piles must go in order from Ace to Queen (A,2,3,...J,Q), but they are not suit sensitive. When a pile has reached Queen it is removed and the space starts over at Ace. There can only ever be 4 piles. The piles are started by a player with an Ace so it may take a few turns before the general discard piles get started at the beginning of the game.

Play moves in a clockwise motion. The person to the left of the dealer plays first. At the beginning of each turn the player must draw enough cards from the general draw pile so that they have 5 in their hand. The player may play as many cards as s/he can from his/her hand, personal draw pile, and/or personal discard piles into the general discard piles. If s/he is able to play all 5 of the cards in his/her hand s/he may draw 5 more. When the player has no more moves s/he can or wants to play, s/he discards one card into his/her personal discard piles and play moves to the next person.

The winner is the first to get rid of their personal draw pile.

Um, go fish sometimes. In war, it's the highest card sometimes. Some games use it as a wild card. And I'm pretty sure there is a game actually called "Joker". Where the Joker is the most important card. Actually there is a game called "the joker" which requires 4 people (3 minimum but then you have to take out the or heart set) and also a game called "Japanese joker" which has similar rules but is played between 2 people. in those games the Joker is the highest trump card so if you get both of them in one hand and have decent cards, than the round is yours(if you're smart enough). My opinion, The Joker, is the best card game ever created

Bean bag toss, or Cornhole, has a few very simple rules. It is traditionally played by two teams of two. One member of each team stand behind the goals. Each player gets to throw four bean bags. The goal is to land them in the hole on the goal board. If your bag lands in the hole, you get 5 points. If your bag stays on the board but doesn't land in the hole, you get 1 point. The first team to get 21 points is the winner.

I believe it is actually called Quests of the Round Table. BUT, if you are talking about the round table card game found in the Grey Griffins Trilogy (Revenge of the Shadow King, Rise of the Black Wolf, Fall of the Templar), it will come out in the summer of 2009. Be sure to look then!

In Gin Rummy, each player is dealt 10 cards, one at a time.

They must draw 2 cards and miss a turn, however if they have another draw 2, they can put this ontop and make the next person draw 4!
