Velveeta cheese does not have any wheat. Kraft labels their food and does not list wheat, rye, or barley as an ingredient.
AOC stands for "appelation d'origine controlee" and is the French designation for name-control status on a cheese. Makers entitled to use the AOC designation on their cheese must be in compliance with leagl stipulations regarding how and where the cheese is made. So if your French cheese is AOC, that means it's the real deal.

How will you rectify slimy cheese?
I am answering as an artisan cheese maker. I made cheese in the throes of a dying summer and while in the brine it went slimy. There is nothing that you can do with this cheese even if you put it into fresh brine, it will go slimy again. Apparently the milk lacks calcium and you need to add calcium chloride to your milk before making cheese. If anyone has an alternate answer I would be grateful. susanna

Is it true cheese will ruin a dogs nose?
From what I've heard, no. Cheese doesn't dull a dog's nose. Although, you want to avoid feeding your dog bread and chocolate because they can be harmful. I use stainless steel bowls because some plastics can affect dogs if they like to move their bowl around while eating.
Hope this helps.
