What is a Christian band?

Personally, Toby Mac, DC Talk, or Ayeisha Woods is my favorite. Switchfoot is also a great cross-over band. It all depends on your style of music.

PAR~A~DIGM which means example, model, standard.

I couldn't exactly give you a name, but think of something from the Bible.

Like the bands Third Day, Jars Of Clay, Casting Crowns, or By The Tree, etc. They're all based on something from the Bible.

Or you can use someone's name from the band. Like BarlowGirl, Bebo Norman, and Robbie Seay Band, etc.

Since when is singing about suicide mean you're a Christian rock band?

Suicide is a touchy subject, and most people in bands write on experiences in their life.

Perhaps a member of a Christian rock band lost a loved one to suicide. Writing a song about suicide does not mean that a band is not Christian. Suicide happens everyday, and just because someone writes about suicide, that does not mean that they are not Christian.

But if they are encouraging suicide, you may want to think twice.

What does ocean waves the song by flyleaf mean?

I never really thought of it being about God when I first heard it, but I can imagine how it can be interpreted that way. I suppose it's a personal opinion, really. I wonder what the intention was when it was written though... hmmmm.

To me, I was thinking of the best friend thing. Like your closest friend who you love and expected to stay forever having to leave. And you want to tell them exactly how you feel before you leave and just kind of... stay in your last moment forever. And then you just pray that you'll always be friends and they'll always remember you.

For the 1000 broken hearts & wings I was thinking of like how broken her heart is to be separated but how she is still kind of....getting on with life and...continuing to fly, even if her wings are broken. Even though they're apart, he's still underneath, supporting, giving strength to carry on. But that's just me, I doubt that makes any sense lol.
